Monster Hunter Rise
Capcom's 2021 entry was built for Switch by the team behind Monster Hunter Generations, and it is the fastest the series has been. The Wirebug is the reason: a grapple with charges that lets you launch into the air, recover instantly from a knockdown, and execute Silkbind attacks that give all fourteen weapons new options. Combined with the Palamute, a rideable dog that lets you sharpen and heal while moving, the downtime that defined older Monster Hunter is largely gone. Wyvern Riding turns monster infighting into a controllable mechanic - mount one, steer it into another, and slam it into a wall. The setting is Kamura, a village in a Japanese folklore register rather than the series' usual naturalism, and its signature mode, Rampage, is a tower-defence variant that divides players. Sunbreak, the expansion, adds the harder hunts the base game lacks along with Master Rank and follower quests. On PC it runs well at high frame rates, which suits how fast it wants to be played.
