The Fog just got a whole lot more crowded. Dead by Daylight's fan-favorite 2v8 mode returns today alongside a triple crossover event spanning Attack on Titan, Darkest Dungeon, and Alien β making this one of the biggest content drops in the game's history.
The 2v8 mode, which pits two Killers against eight Survivors in chaotic large-scale matches, runs from April 28 through May 19. This iteration introduces two newly supported maps β Ironworks of Misery and Temple of Purgation β both specifically tuned for the expanded player count.

Attack on Titan Takes Over
The headline attraction is the Attack on Titan collection revival, headlined by the fearsome Attack Titan Legendary Outfit for The Trapper β transforming the iconic Killer into a towering force of destruction ripped straight from the anime. Survivors get their own anime makeovers: Jake Park channels Cleaning Levi, Yui Kimura dons Mikasa's Dark Uniform, and Thalita Lyra steps into Sasha's Uniform.
Players can complete a series of quests to unlock exclusive Attack on Titan rewards including a badge, banner, and charm β free for anyone who participates during the event window.
Balance Updates and More Crossovers
Killer balance gets a meaningful shake-up in this patch. The Deathslinger receives buffs aimed at improving his overall effectiveness, including reduced penalties on reloads and missed shots. Meanwhile, The Oni takes a slight nerf with increased uptime reduction after downing a Survivor in Demon Mode β a targeted adjustment to rein in his dominance in the 2v8 format.

The crossovers extend beyond Attack on Titan. A new Darkest Dungeon-themed Rift Pass brings gothic horror aesthetics to the cosmetic grind, while Alien-themed Hudson cosmetics join the ever-expanding roster of licensed content. The Cage System also receives an overhaul with reduced relocation times and a new bleed-out pause mechanic, giving Survivors a coordination window when a cage moves.
Dead by Daylight's latest event is available now on all platforms through May 19.
