FromSoftware's 2025 standalone spin-off compresses Elden Ring into a three-day roguelike run for three players. A session is a timed collapse: the map shrinks under a closing ring, you have two in-game days to level up and gear up from a randomised layout of bosses, camps and dungeons, and on the third night a Nightlord has to be killed. Eight preset characters replace the character creator, each with a fixed kit and ultimate - the Wylder's grapple, the Duchess's invisibility, the Recluse's spell mixing - so builds are decided by relics and weapon drops rather than stats. Traversal is much faster, with free-running, no fall damage and rapid class-specific movement. It reuses Elden Ring assets openly and rearranges them into something structurally new. Balance for solo play was the main complaint at launch and has been patched. It is a different proposition from the base game: shorter sessions, less exploration, and a much heavier emphasis on coordination.
