PS Plus Game Catalog for October: Mafia: The Old Country, Horizon Forbidden West and Mycopunk Day One

Mafia: The Old Country, Horizon Forbidden West and day-one Mycopunk join PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium on October 20, with Tales of Arise and more on October 27, and Dino Crisis 2 and RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 for Premium.

PS Plus Game Catalog for October: Mafia: The Old Country, Horizon Forbidden West and Mycopunk Day One

Sony has named the October 2026 additions to the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog, and they lead with Hangar 13's Mafia: The Old Country and Guerrilla's Horizon Forbidden West. Mycopunk arrives on day one, which means it launches straight into the service. Most of the lineup goes live for Extra and Premium members on Tuesday, October 20. A few titles follow on October 27, and one is already playable. Premium members also pick up two older games, Capcom's Dino Crisis 2 and RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 Complete Edition, plus two new Game Trials.

The headliners: Sicily in 1900 and the Forbidden West

Mafia: The Old Country is the PS5-only headliner. It goes back to where the series' crime story began, in turn-of-the-century Sicily, and follows Enzo Favara as he earns a place in a Family. It's a third-person action game built around close-quarters weapons like the stiletto and the lupara shotgun, and you get around on foot, on horseback or in very early motorcars. For anyone who skipped it at full price, this is the cheapest way to try 2K's prequel.

Horizon Forbidden West is a PS Plus re-release, so it is back in the Catalog after time away.

Horizon Forbidden West comes in on both PS5 and PS4. Sony labels it a PlayStation Plus re-release, so it's back for anyone who missed it, or who started Aloy's second trip west the last time it was on the service and never finished. The sequel takes the series from the Sacred Lands to the coast and ruins of the Forbidden West, with new tribes, bigger machines and a threat even Aloy can't easily fight.

Mycopunk launches straight into the Catalog

Mycopunk is the newest game in the batch. The four-player co-op looter shooter puts a squad of discarded robots, hired by the SAXON corporation, against a planet overrun by fungal aliens. Its pitch is depth of loadout: hundreds of hand-made upgrades that you stack into increasingly silly weapons. The PS5 version releases worldwide on October 20 and is in the Game Catalog the same day, so Extra and Premium members can play from launch at no extra cost.

The rest of the Game Catalog, date by date

Not everything lands on the same day, and some dates differ by region, so here is the schedule as Sony lists it:

Tales of Arise is the one to note for RPG fans. The Beyond the Dawn Edition bundles Bandai Namco's 2021 JRPG with its post-game story expansion, so you get the whole thing in one download. Poppy Playtime: Chapter 2 is the Halloween pick. Supercross 25 is the Unreal Engine 5 entry in Milestone's licensed series.

Premium: Dino Crisis 2 and RollerCoaster Tycoon 3

PlayStation Plus Premium members get two older games on PS5 and PS4. Dino Crisis 2 brings back Regina a year after the first game, now joined by newcomer Dylan. The action moves from the original's research facility to the jungles, caves and lakes of the Cretaceous, with a bigger arsenal and more than ten dinosaur species. RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 Complete Edition is the full park-building sim with its expansions, offering both scenario play and a money-free sandbox.

Premium also gets two new Game Trials on October 20, for Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy and Mortal Shell II. These are timed trials, so you can try either game before buying.

HorrorFest extras for every member

Sony's month-long HorrorFest continues with some free in-game items. A World War Z Vibrant Halloween Skin Pack with five weapon skins and Halloween cosmetics goes up on October 20, alongside a Back 4 Blood Tunnels of Terror pack. From October 21 to November 4, members can claim Back 4 Blood's first DLC, Tunnels of Terror, at no extra cost and get 95% off the second and third DLC packs and the Annual Pass.

Dead by Daylight has a community goal too. If players log 10 million matches between October 20 and October 26, every PS Plus member unlocks a Buccaneer Buds charm featuring survivor Jeff Johansen and his rescue dog in matching pirate outfits. From October 28, members also get a limited-time discount on the Until Dawn film through the Sony Pictures Core app.

What to keep in mind

Sony notes that Catalog and Premium lineups can vary by region, so check the PlayStation Store on the day. This post only covers the Extra and Premium Game Catalog. The monthly games for Essential members were announced separately and are already on the service. If you only add three games to your library this month, make them Mafia, Horizon and Mycopunk, all live on October 20.
