Modern Warfare 4's beta is already being rewritten: quieter footsteps, a fourth map, and map voting switched on
One day into Early Access, Infinity Ward cut enemy footstep range and volume, added the Cachette map and the cash-grabbing Inflation mode, brightened Transit 213 and nerfed the ISO Nightshade, Oris 8.6 and Frangible Rounds. The free open beta runs August 28 to September 1 and includes a playable campaign mission - a Call of Duty beta first.
