Cygames has thrown the doors of the Sky Realm wide open. A free demo for Granblue Fantasy: Relink – Endless Ragnarok went live on June 18, 2026 across PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC via Steam, giving newcomers and lapsed crewmates alike a generous taste of the action RPG ahead of the paid expansion's launch on July 9.
Unlike a quick vertical slice, this is a substantial trial. The demo opens with a chunk of the main story in Story Mode, hands you four solo-or-co-op quests in Quest Mode, and walks new players through the combat fundamentals in a dedicated Tutorial Mode. Crucially, completing those quests earns rewards that carry over into the full game once you upgrade — so the time you sink in now isn't wasted.

What Endless Ragnarok actually adds
The expansion is far more than a story epilogue. Endless Ragnarok layers in fresh narrative chapters, the ability to summon during battle, new co-op quest tiers and additional bosses, and a brand-new solo endgame mode called the Conflux. Veterans also get new master traits to chase, deepening the build-crafting that kept Relink's community grinding long after the 2024 base game wrapped up.
Series mainstay Seofon is among the playable characters featured in the trial, and the demo doubles as an onboarding ramp for the roster's signature skill-chaining, chain-burst spectacle and the link-attack rhythm that defines Relink's four-player encounters.

'The Journey So Far'
To mark the demo, Cygames released a third trailer titled ‘The Journey So Far,’ reframing Relink's original story beats through the lens of Endless Ragnarok's expanded combat and gameplay. It's a deliberate pitch to two audiences at once: a recap for returning skyfarers and a highlight reel for anyone who skipped the original.
Granblue Fantasy: Relink – Endless Ragnarok launches July 9, 2026 on PS5, PS4, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC. With save data and quest rewards bridging the demo and the full release, there's little reason not to start the descent into the Sky Realm right now.
