Two separate hidden scenes, discovered by players who pushed through the remake's toughest difficulty and its credits, both point in the same direction: a Halo 2 remake.
'See You in the Sequel'
Players who beat the campaign on Legendary difficulty are rewarded with a secret cutscene featuring Sergeant Johnson. He's shown relaxing on a beach, watching the original game's Legendary ending play out - and as the ring begins exploding in the distance behind him, he turns straight to the camera and says: "See you in the sequel." It's about as direct a wink as a hidden cutscene can give without actually naming anything.
A Second Clue in the Post-Credits Scene
There's a separate tease waiting for anyone who sits through the credits on any difficulty. That scene follows 343 Guilty Spark flying through space toward a large gas giant, with a facility hanging from a cable visible in the distance. Players have pointed out that the setup closely resembles Threshold and its gas mining facility - the exact location players explore as the Arbiter during Halo 2's campaign.
Why It Matters
Neither of these scenes is an announcement, and Halo Studios and Microsoft have said nothing official about a Halo 2 remake. But two separate, deliberately placed references pointing at the same game - discovered within days of launch by the community - is a hard pattern to write off as coincidence.
