Honkai: Star Rail's next update finally puts the Aeon of Elation on the battlefield. HoYoverse has dated Version 4.7, titled "Now, Lay Laughter to All Stars," for November 11 across iOS, Android, PC and PS5, and it is billed as the finale of the Planarcadia arc. The headline act is Aeon ★ Aha, a limited 5-star Elation character, joined by a new character-growth system called Affinitive Eidolon, six reruns split across two banner phases, and a second season for the Currency Wars mode.
The Planarcadia arc's last act
The story setup is suitably theatrical. For more than a thousand Amber Eras, a leviathan known as the Voracity has been held in check by Aha's "Phantasmoon Games." Now it is close to waking up fully, and if it regains its strength it threatens to swallow the universe whole. Aha's answer is to stage one more show: the "Final Phantasmoon Games," for which eight Supplicants are summoned to perform.
The venue is the Starfroster, a ship styled like a giant confection, which sets sail with the job of luring the Voracity out. Aha directs the whole production, but this time also steps onto the stage in person, fighting alongside the Trailblazer in what HoYoverse frames as the showdown that settles the arc. A new song, "Ex Nihilo," accompanies Aha's grand performance, and an animated short, "A Joyful Funeral Beneath the Moon," goes out on launch day.
Aeon ★ Aha: how the new 5-star plays
Aha is a limited 5-star on the Path of Elation, and the kit is built around lifting the rest of an Elation team rather than simply hitting hard. With Aha in the party, the Path of Elation "ascends" for Elation characters, unlocking a unique combat ability for each of them. That makes Aha less a standalone carry and more a centrepiece for players who have been collecting Elation units.

Aha also headlines a new mechanic called "Aha Instant," which fast-forwards the performance of Elation Skills. Throughout a fight, the whole team builds up a resource called Wishpower on Aha's behalf. Once it is full, Aha's Ultimate becomes available and deals Elation damage to every enemy on the field. On top of that, Aha's Aeonic Authority lets allied attacks cut directly into an enemy's maximum HP, which should matter most against the long-health-bar bosses that endgame modes tend to throw at players.
Banners: six reruns over two phases
Alongside Aha's debut, Version 4.7 brings back six limited 5-stars. The first half of the version reruns Silver Wolf LV.999, Sparxie and Yao Guang. The second half brings back Acheron, Dan Heng • Imbibitor Lunae and Jing Yuan.
That second trio is not a random pick. All three are the first characters to receive the update's other big addition, the Affinitive Eidolon system, which makes the second-phase reruns noticeably more interesting for players who already own them or have been waiting for another chance at them.
Affinitive Eidolon: new abilities for older characters
Affinitive Eidolon is a brand-new growth system. If you own a designated character and unlock their corresponding Affinitive Eidolon, that character gains extra abilities and stronger performance in combat. Acheron, Dan Heng • Imbibitor Lunae and Jing Yuan are the launch trio, each getting exclusive combat buffs.
For a game that is now several years and many power-creep cycles in, a system that pulls established characters back toward the current meta is a notable change. HoYoverse has not said which characters will follow, but the framing of the first three as merely "the first" signals that more are planned.
Events: a dessert shop, a gala and Currency Wars season two
The main version event is "The Fluffy Movie: Overheated," in which Trailblazers help Aha run a dessert shop to earn Gold Coins, fitting neatly with the Starfroster's cake-ship look. A new combat event, "Interastral Peace Gala: Road to Fame," runs at the same time.
Currency Wars, the permanent mode, gets its second season, "Voyage Into the Canvas," which HoYoverse describes as a comprehensive overhaul rather than a light refresh. Players who take part in the "Phantasia Showstage" event can also earn Aha's limited outfit, "Star Lotto," among other rewards.

When and where
Version 4.7 goes live on November 11. Honkai: Star Rail is free to play on iOS via the App Store, Android via Google Play, PC through HoYoverse's own launcher and the Epic Games Store, and PS5.
