Honkai: Star Rail is barrelling toward one of its most dramatic chapters yet. HoYoverse has confirmed that Version 4.3, titled The Lethe Below the Living, launches on June 1, 2026, headlined by a new 5-star unit and the climax of the long-running Planarcadia storyline.
Leading the charge is Mortenax Blade, a new 5-star Fire Nihility character whose kit is built around a Bounded Field deployed through his Ultimate. The field amplifies the damage enemies take and unlocks an enhanced Skill that draws on a Sword Formation. Ally attacks passively stack Charge on him, and reaching a full Charge triggers an automatic Skill alongside extra Energy regeneration — rewarding aggressive, team-driven play.
A fate centuries in the making
The patch brings the Planarcadia arc to a head. The Trailblazer and Mortenax Blade each venture separately into the World in Canvas where, caught between the shadow of Lord Ravager Asat Pramad and the seal of the Aeon Voracity, Blade is forced to confront the finale of his age-old fate. It is a story beat HoYoverse has been building toward for some time, and the version trailer leans hard into its operatic, melancholy tone.
What comes next
Version 4.3 maintenance is scheduled for the rollover into June 1, with the update going live across iOS, Android, PC and PlayStation 5 as usual. HoYoverse has also been teasing what lies beyond: a high-profile Fate/stay night crossover is on the horizon, with the next slate of guest characters expected to follow in a later update. For now, though, the spotlight belongs to Blade and the conclusion of Planarcadia.
As ever with Honkai: Star Rail, 4.3 bundles its new banner with the usual sweep of events, login rewards and quality-of-life tweaks, giving both veterans and returning Trailblazers plenty of reason to log back in when the servers come up on June 1.
