Invincible VS Season Two Brings Angstrom Levy on October 13, and Agent Spider Swings In This Winter

Angstrom Levy and a new Challenges combo-trial mode arrive in Invincible VS's Season Two update on October 13, and Agent Spider has been revealed as a DLC fighter for this winter, alongside a new mode and arena.

Invincible VS Season Two Brings Angstrom Levy on October 13, and Agent Spider Swings In This Winter

Invincible VS is about to get busier on two fronts. Skybound Games and developer Quarter Up have revealed Agent Spider as an upcoming DLC fighter for the three-versus-three tag fighter, due this winter alongside a new mode and a new arena. That reveal lands just ahead of tomorrow's Season Two update on October 13. It adds multiverse villain Angstrom Levy to the roster and introduces a Challenges mode built to teach every character's combos.

Agent Spider joins this winter

Agent Spider got a short reveal trailer on the game's official YouTube channel. The key art shows the masked, yellow-and-black agent flying out of a green portal beneath Angstrom Levy, which nicely ties the two halves of this news together. So far the developers have confirmed only a broad "this winter" window for the character. They have also said he will arrive alongside a new game mode and a new arena, without naming either.

That is all that has been confirmed for now. The studio hasn't given a firm date, said whether Agent Spider is part of the existing Year 1 Pass or sold separately, or shown a moveset breakdown. For a game built around tag-team assists, how he slots into existing teams will matter more than anything else. Quarter Up has followed every previous roster reveal with a dedicated dev diary and deep-dive video, so expect the same treatment as his release gets closer.

Season Two and Angstrom Levy arrive October 13

The more immediate news is Season Two, which goes live tomorrow. Its headline addition is Angstrom Levy, the third fighter in the game's Year 1 Pass. Fans of the comic and the animated series know him as the brilliant dimension-hopper whose accident fused the memories of countless alternate selves into his own mind and left him with a swollen, exposed brain. He blames Invincible for that accident and for crimes his multiversal doubles committed, and that grudge is what brings him into the fight.

In the official dev diary, the team says Angstrom has been on its mind since the start of the project and has been one of the community's most persistent requests. Turning his powers into a playable character took new tech. His whole kit is built around opening portals and summoning and directing his floating orbs, and the developers describe a long run of trial, iteration and tuning before the portal interactions worked the way they wanted.

The result is a zoning character with a heavy focus on setups. According to the developers, his portals can be used for defence, offence, movement or traps, and a lot of his depth comes from what you choose to send through them. The team's favourite example is placing a portal to control space, then sending Angstrom's ultimate through it to catch an opponent off guard. Players who like controlling the screen from range, rather than rushing in, look like the main audience for this one.

Challenges mode teaches the combos

Season Two also adds Challenges, a combo-trial mode of the kind most modern fighting games include. You'll find it in the Training menu, or you can jump straight in by pressing the left stick on the home screen. Every fighter gets ten challenges: five Beginner, three Intermediate and two Advanced. You can take them in order or skip around.

Each fighter's challenge list is themed around their character, starting with Invincible's "Finally Got My Powers".

Picking a challenge shows the combo's inputs on the left of the screen, and you clear it by performing the full sequence. Pressing the right stick plays a demonstration, and on longer strings the left stick scrolls through the input list. These are standard trial features, but until now the game had no structured way to learn each character's routes.

There is a reason to finish them, too. Clearing all of a fighter's Beginner challenges unlocks a unique title, clearing the Intermediate set unlocks a badge, and clearing the Advanced pair unlocks a profile background. Completing all ten for a fighter adds a new base colour variant for that character. With a full roster's worth of challenges, that is a decent pile of cosmetics you can earn just by practising.

Where to play

Invincible VS launched on April 30, 2026 and is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC through Steam and the Microsoft Store. The Season Two update with Angstrom Levy and Challenges mode goes live on October 13 across all of those platforms, and Agent Spider follows in the winter. With a new villain, a long-requested training feature and another fighter already announced, this is a good moment for lapsed players to come back.
