MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls now has its whole first year of downloadable fighters on the table. Sony Interactive Entertainment and Arc System Works have named the rest of the Year 1 Character & Stage Pass: Jane Foster as the Mighty Thor arrives this winter, Venom follows in spring 2027 with a new stage set on the symbiote world of Klyntar, and the X-Men's Jubilee closes out the year in summer 2027. They join Phoenix Cyclops, the pass's first character, who was already dated for November 2.
Thor (Jane Foster) is up next
Jane Foster gets the spotlight first. PlayStation published her announcement trailer on its official channel today, billing her as the second character in the pass. She fights with Mjolnir and the God of Thunder's lightning, which gives Arc System Works a hammer-and-storm toolkit to build around. Her version of the character comes from the comics run in which Foster herself, not Odin's son, lifts the hammer.
The trailer gives no exact date beyond "this winter". With Phoenix Cyclops on November 2, that suggests a gap of a couple of months between the first two fighters, a pace that fits a pass meant to stretch to next summer.
The full Year 1 schedule
Here is the pass as it now stands:
- Phoenix Cyclops: November 2, 2026
- Thor (Jane Foster): Winter
- Venom, plus the Klyntar stage: Spring 2027
- Jubilee: Summer 2027
That is four fighters and one stage across roughly nine months. Venom is the only pass character who comes with his own arena. Klyntar is the symbiote homeworld in Marvel's comics, a natural fit for a fighter whose whole identity is the alien suit. Only Phoenix Cyclops has an exact date so far; the other three have seasonal windows, so expect specific dates closer to each launch.

Why this mix of characters
The lineup covers a lot of ground. Phoenix Cyclops reworks a fighting-game regular through the Phoenix Force. Thor brings a major Avenger who has not been in the roster before. Venom is the best-known villain-turned-antihero in Spider-Man's corner of the universe, and Jubilee, a fan favourite since the 1990s X-Men cartoon, gives the mutant side a second new face after Cyclops.
In a game built around four-person teams, that spread matters. Players do not just pick a main, they build a squad, and each addition opens up new team combinations for both the hero and villain sides of the roster.
Where things stand for MARVEL Tōkon
MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls launched on August 6, 2026 on PS5 and PC, through Steam and the Epic Games Store. It is Arc System Works' four-versus-four tag fighter, published by PlayStation, and it borrows its look from comic book art: hand-drawn effects, sound-effect lettering and panel-style cut-ins during big moments.

Arc System Works has supported its earlier fighters with long-running seasonal passes, and naming a full year of characters up front gives players a clear roadmap. It also tells anyone still deciding on the Year 1 pass exactly who they would be paying for.
What comes next
The next date to circle is November 2, when Phoenix Cyclops arrives together with his Classic and Legacy costumes. Thor (Jane Foster) should follow this winter, with Venom, the Klyntar stage and then Jubilee rolling out across the first half of 2027. All four characters and the stage are part of the Year 1 Character & Stage Pass on PS5 and PC.
