Invincible VS Kicks Off Season 1 on June 30 With Universa, The Immortal and a New Endless Arcade Mode

The most violent superhero fighter on the market is about to get a lot bigger. Invincible VS, the 3v3 tag fighting game from developer Quarter Up and publisher Skybound Games, kicks off its first full Season on June 30, 2026, and it's bringing two new fighters, a fresh mode, and a sweeping balance patch along with it.

Skybound and Quarter Up used their EVO 2026 showcase to lay out exactly what Season 1 includes. Headlining the update are Universa and The Immortal, the first two members of the Year 1 Character Pass, each with a mechanic designed to shake up the tag-team meta.

Two very different new fighters

Universa is the technical pick of the pair. She's built around momentum and resource control, with a core mechanic that lets her siphon an opponent's Boost Gauge during exchanges, draining the very meter they need to extend combos and escape pressure. In a team game where Boost fuels assists and comebacks, a character who can starve the other side of it is a genuinely novel threat.

The Immortal, true to his name, plays the long game. His signature ability lets him resurrect once per match, handing his team a built-in second chance that forces opponents to think twice about how they spend their resources closing out a round.

More than just two characters

Season 1 isn't only about the new roster additions. The update ships with a comprehensive balance patch touching the existing cast, plus a new Endless Arcade mode for players who want to grind out runs against escalating opposition. It's the kind of substantial content drop that signals Skybound is treating Invincible VS as a long-haul live fighter rather than a one-and-done release.

The studio also teased the road ahead at EVO. Angstrom Levy, the dimension-hopping villain from the comics and Prime Video series, was confirmed as a future DLC fighter arriving in Fall 2026, with a playable demo planned for Evo France.
