The spiders have made a critical miscalculation. They thought they were safe on handheld. Kill It With Fire 2, the chaotic co-op spider extermination sim from Casey Donnellan Games and tinyBuild, arrives on Nintendo Switch on May 7 at a price point of $14.99. The game is also confirmed to run on Switch 2 with consistent performance.
If you missed the original Kill It With Fire, here’s the pitch: spiders are everywhere, and your job is to destroy them using an increasingly absurd arsenal of weapons that includes flamethrowers, shurikens, and whatever else happens to be within reach. The sequel takes that core loop and bolts on full four-player online co-op, turning spider hunts into chaotic social events where the collateral damage to the environment is half the fun.
The big addition in Kill It With Fire 2 is the Humans vs. Spiders PvP mode, where one group of players takes on the role of the arachnid menace while the other tries to exterminate them. It sounds ridiculous. It is ridiculous. That’s the entire point. The mode turns the game’s slapstick physics and destructible environments into a genuinely tense asymmetric multiplayer experience, somewhere between Prop Hunt and a pest control nightmare.
The Switch port has been a long time coming. Kill It With Fire 2 launched on PC via Early Access in 2024 and hit 1.0 earlier this year to strong reviews. The PC community praised the expanded weapon variety, larger levels, and the sheer amount of environmental destruction that’s possible when four players armed with explosives decide that subtlety is overrated.
Bringing the game to Switch feels like a natural fit. The pick-up-and-play nature of spider hunting sessions works perfectly for portable play, and the online co-op means you can rope friends into extermination duty from anywhere. The $14.99 price tag is aggressive too — that’s less than a movie ticket for a game that will have you screaming at eight-legged horrors while your friends accidentally blow up the kitchen around you.
tinyBuild has confirmed that the Switch version includes the full story campaign, all weapons, and the PvP mode. No content has been cut for the portable release. Whether you want to work through the campaign solo or jump straight into multiplayer chaos, everything is here from day one.
Kill It With Fire 2 launches on Nintendo Switch on May 7, 2026. Your move, spiders.
