Last year's Mafia: The Old Country sent players back to early-1900s Sicily for a tighter, more focused entry in 2K and Hangar 13's crime saga. Now the story is getting a proper encore. The studios have dated the Man of Honor expansion for August 14, 2026 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam, and marked the occasion with a roughly three-minute gameplay first look.
First revealed at Summer Game Fest 2026, Man of Honor adds two new chapters to protagonist Enzo Favara's story. The hook that will grab longtime fans: Enzo crosses paths with Ennio Salieri — the future Don of the Salieri crime family and the central antagonist of 2002's original Mafia (and its 2020 Definitive Edition remake). It's a deliberate thread stitching The Old Country's prequel-era tale into the wider Mafia timeline.
More than a story add-on
Beyond the campaign chapters, the expansion folds in additional content for the game's Free Ride mode, the open-ended sandbox that lets players roam the countryside outside the main story beats. That's a meaningful sweetener for anyone who wanted more reasons to linger in Hangar 13's meticulously recreated Sicilian setting.
A base game that quietly delivered
Mafia: The Old Country launched in August 2025 to a warmer reception than many expected, trading the open-world sprawl of Mafia III for a linear, character-driven narrative that critics and players felt suited the series' storytelling strengths. Man of Honor is the first major story expansion for that foundation, and its timing — almost exactly a year after launch — suggests 2K sees room to keep the prequel alive.
