Mojang is heading back into the dungeons. At the Xbox Games Showcase 2026, the studio revealed Minecraft Dungeons II, a sequel to its hugely popular spin-off that turned the sandbox blockbuster into a breezy, Diablo-style dungeon crawler.
The trailer showed a party of heroes hacking through hordes of mobs and treasure-stuffed dungeons in the franchise’s instantly recognisable blocky style, leaning into the drop-in co-op chaos that made the original a family favourite.
Minecraft Dungeons II is set to launch on September 29, coming to Xbox Series X|S and PC — and, like all Xbox first-party titles, it is expected day one on Game Pass.
