Phantom Blade Zero is one week out. S-GAME has released the launch trailer for its wuxia action RPG ahead of the game's October 29 release on PS5 and PC. The studio also confirmed that boxed copies are coming, though not until 2027: Standard, Deluxe and Ultimate physical editions for PS5 will follow next year, so launch day is digital only.
A launch trailer, and a release that finally holds
It has been a long road to a date that stuck. S-GAME first announced a September 9, 2026 release, then moved the game to October 29 in June. The new trailer is the clearest sign yet that this second date will hold. It leans on what the studio has been showing all year: fast, acrobatic swordplay, airborne finishers, and a grim, rain-soaked world that S-GAME calls Kungfupunk, its blend of classic martial-arts fantasy with industrial, steampunk-tinged machinery.
The trailer doesn't add new systems or modes. Its job is to sell the fantasy and fix the date in people's minds, and with a week to go the news is the confirmation itself: pre-orders, store pages and the PC listing all point at October 29.

Who you play, and what the game is
You play Soul, an elite assassin for a powerful organisation called The Order. He is framed for the murder of the group's leader, hunted by his former comrades and left for dead. He comes back to life, but only for a while: Soul has sixty-six days to live, and in that time he has to clear his name and pull apart a conspiracy that threatens the wider Phantom World.
The deadline frames the whole story, and it fits the game's Hong Kong action-cinema influences. Phantom Blade Zero is a third-person action RPG built in Unreal Engine 5, set across semi-open regions instead of one seamless map. Combat draws on a wide arsenal of traditional Chinese weapons, and both enemies and bosses are designed around duels rather than crowds.
Platforms, editions and price
Phantom Blade Zero launches digitally on PS5 and PC, with the PC version sold through both Steam and the Epic Games Store. The standard edition is $59.99 on Steam, where the listing shows October 28 in US time zones because launch falls in the early hours of October 29 for much of the world.

The surprise is the physical release. Collectors who wanted a disc on day one will have to wait: S-GAME says the Standard, Deluxe and Ultimate physical editions for PS5 arrive in 2027. It hasn't given a month or detailed what each boxed version includes. There is no word on a physical PC release.
PC requirements
S-GAME's Steam listing gives two targets, both assuming upscaling is switched on. An SSD is mandatory on both tiers, and the game needs a 64-bit Windows 10 or 11 install and DirectX 12.
- Minimum (1080p / 30fps, upscaling on): Intel Core i7-8700K or AMD Ryzen 5 3600, 16GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 6GB or AMD Radeon RX 5500 XT 8GB.
- Recommended (1440p / 60fps, upscaling on): Intel Core i5-10600K or AMD Ryzen 5 5600X, 16GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti 8GB or AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT 12GB.
Those specs are fairly moderate for an Unreal Engine 5 action game. A six-year-old GTX 1660 still reaches the floor, and the 60fps target sits on mid-range cards from the RTX 30 and RX 6000 generation, not on current flagships. The catch is that both targets assume upscaling. Native-resolution performance is not quoted, and nobody outside the studio has run the final build yet.

Why it matters
Phantom Blade Zero grew out of a long-running indie series into one of the most watched action games of the year, and one of the highest-profile Chinese-developed console releases since Black Myth: Wukong. Its trailers have drawn big audiences since the first reveal, and the delay from September into a crowded late-October window raised the stakes for this launch.
For players the plan is now simple. Phantom Blade Zero is out digitally on PS5 and PC on October 29 at $59.99, and anyone who wants it on a shelf will be waiting until 2027.
