Bellring Games and publisher Skystone Games have given Mistfall Hunter its most detailed showing yet, releasing a full Gameplay Deep Dive that pulls apart the systems underneath their dark-fantasy extraction RPG. The game is targeting a July 2026 launch on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, with open betas on both Xbox and PlayStation kicking off June 14 at 6 PM PT for players who want hands-on time before release.
The setting is Weavereach, a shattered realm in the aftermath of a catastrophic war between the Gods and the Outer Gods. With the divine dead, their spilled blood has given rise to the Gyldenmist - a corrupting fog that spreads madness across the land. You play a Gyldhunter, venturing into the heart of that corruption alone or with up to two companions, killing twisted creatures for their spoils or stalking rival hunters for the loot they are carrying.
A combat loop built on stamina, focus and class rhythm
The deep dive spends most of its runtime on combat. Movement and sprinting drain stamina, while special attacks and long-range shots pull from a separate focus pool, forcing constant resource decisions in the middle of a fight. The arsenal spans precision rifles, arc-shot bows and mist-infused close-quarters weapons, each with its own scale, wind-up time and crit multiplier - so picking a weapon is as much about tempo as raw damage.

Five classes and a PvPvE risk-reward core
Mistfall Hunter ships with five classes - Mercenary, Sorcerer, Blackarrow, Shadowstrix and Seer - each with a distinct combat rhythm that the combo system rewards players for learning. Chaining attacks and abilities into clean sequences does meaningfully more damage while keeping you positioned, and the deep dive frames mastery of a single class's flow as the difference between extracting rich and dying in the mist.
Sitting on top of all of it is the genre's familiar risk-reward tension: every run is a gamble between AI threats and human ones, and the moment you load up on loot is the moment you become a target for every other Gyldhunter on the map. With the open betas only a couple of weeks out, the deep dive is Bellring's pitch that Weavereach has the mechanical depth to stand out in an increasingly crowded extraction field. We will know how it holds up when the June 14 betas open the gates.
