Neverness to Everness Version 1.2 '999 Nights' Lands July 8 - Shinku, Iroi and a Tabletop Adventure Hunting the Crimson Dragon

Neverness to Everness reveals Version 1.2 '999 Nights' for July 8: new S-Rank DPS Shinku, support Esper Iroi on July 29, and a tabletop-inspired mode that journeys across the Warren Continent toward the Crimson Dragon.

Hotta Studio's supernatural open-world RPG Neverness to Everness is gearing up for its biggest content drop since launch. During a Version 1.2 Preview Special Program, the team detailed '999 Nights,' an update arriving July 8, 2026 that adds two new S-Rank Espers, a brand-new tabletop-inspired game mode, fresh outfits, and a new ride to tear around the city in.

For the uninitiated, Neverness to Everness is a cross-platform, free-to-play urban RPG from the Tower of Fantasy developers that launched on April 29, blending an investigation-driven supernatural mystery with open-world traversal and driveable vehicles. Version 1.2 is its second major update, and it leans hard into both new characters and a wholly new way to play.

Two new Espers: Shinku and Iroi

Shinku headlines Phase 1, debuting with the patch on July 8. She is a Cosmos Esper who fights with Condensate Arcs and can flip between two completely different combat forms through her Defiant Spirit gauge — transforming into her Rampage state, Surging Crimson, to unload burst damage as a main DPS.

Iroi follows in Phase 2 on July 29. An Anima Esper wielding Liquid Arcs, she is shaping up as a key support, propping up allies through her unique Regression and Imagination mechanics rather than raw damage.

'999 Nights': a tabletop adventure

The marquee addition is the 999 Nights game mode, a tabletop-inspired adventure that sends you across the Warren Continent — a sprawling world stitched together from multiple regions, quests, and branching storylines that ultimately build toward a confrontation with the Crimson Dragon. It is a notable swerve for a game best known for its city streets, trading the urban backdrop for a board-game-flavored journey.

Banner schedule

The double-feature rollout means there is something to chase across the whole patch. Shinku's banner runs from July 8 through July 29, with Iroi's stepping in from July 29 to August 19. Add the new outfits and vehicle teased during the program, and 999 Nights is comfortably the most substantial reason to log back into Neverness to Everness since its spring debut.
