Capcom flipped the switch on Street Fighter 6's biggest content drop of the spring on Thursday, releasing the Ingrid Update Launch Trailer alongside the final Year 3 DLC character's worldwide rollout on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. The extradimensional newcomer arrives with a unique Sun Crest resource system, a brand-new pair of online modes built around World Tour avatars, and a substantial free wardrobe expansion that touches every character on the roster.
Ingrid herself slots into the cast as a long-range zoner who plays unlike anyone else in the game. Her core mechanic, the Sun Crest, lets her stock up to four charges that power her signature laser special, with her Level 1 and Level 2 Super Arts also drawing from the same well. She can teleport with three positioning options, mix dance-like normals with spinning flip-kicks, and lean on aerial strikes that punish opponents trapped between her zoning tools and her up-close pressure.
A free wardrobe drop for everyone, not just the new character
The Ingrid update also brings Outfit 3 DLC for Street Fighter 6's Season 3 quartet - Ingrid, Alex, C. Viper and Sagat - for players who want a paid-tier look at the new arrivals. More importantly for the broader player base, every character on the existing roster picks up a free DriveTech Wear sports-style alternate costume, giving long-time mains something new to unlock without spending a single Fighter Coin.

Avatar Arcade and Random Avatar Matches join the modes suite
Capcom is also using the patch as a launch pad for two new modes. Avatar Arcade brings a single-player progression ladder for the World Tour custom characters that have quietly become Street Fighter 6's most popular long-tail hook, while Random Avatar Matches gives players an online queue where every fighter is a stranger's avatar build. Both modes are aimed squarely at the World Tour-adjacent audience that has kept the side mode trending since launch, even as Capcom signalled this week that the main World Tour story content has effectively reached its conclusion with Ingrid's chapter.
The trailer itself opens inside World Tour with a cosmic-arena boss battle against the new character, then transitions into a montage of her tournament-ready arsenal - a presentation that mirrors how Capcom unveiled M. Bison and Akuma in earlier Year passes. Year 4 details have not been confirmed, but with Outfit 3 now shipping for every Season 3 fighter and the modes pipeline expanding into avatar territory, the live-service runway for Street Fighter 6 keeps stretching well past its third anniversary.
