Night City is about to bleed into the world of Solaris. Kuro Games used Summer Game Fest 2026 to drop a new trailer for the Wuthering Waves × Cyberpunk: Edgerunners crossover, confirming the long-teased collaboration lands with Version 3.4, ‘The Dream Not Dreamed,' on June 8, 2026 across mobile, PC and PlayStation 5.
It's one of the most ambitious crossovers the open-world gacha has attempted, pairing Kuro Games with CD PROJEKT RED to bring the cast of Studio Trigger's beloved anime into Wuthering Waves as fully playable Resonators.
Lucy and Rebecca join the roster — one of them for free
The headliners are Lucy and Rebecca, both arriving as 5-Star Resonators. In a move that should please free-to-play players, Rebecca can be claimed for free during the event, while Lucy headlines her own limited banner. A new permanent Episodic Quest, At Dream's Edge, frames the pair as visitors from another world, drifting between reality and dreams as they cross paths with the Rover.

Welcome to Somnoire: Night City
Version 3.4 also introduces Somnoire: Night City, a brand-new area inspired by Lucy's memories that recreates the neon sprawl of Edgerunners within Wuthering Waves' dreamscape. New enemies come with it, including a Nightmare: Adam Smasher — a nod to the anime's hulking final antagonist that should put the new Resonators' kits to the test.
David Martinez fans got a tease, too: the trailer briefly showed David in his iconic yellow jacket gazing out at a world that looks an awful lot like Solaris, leaving the door open for a larger role down the line.

A big swing for a maturing gacha
Two years on from launch, Wuthering Waves has grown into one of the most visually aggressive action gacha games on phones, and a marquee tie-in with one of anime's most acclaimed recent properties is exactly the kind of crossover its audience has been asking for. With limited-time events, login rewards and a free 5-Star on the table, Version 3.4 is shaping up to be one of the game's biggest updates yet when it goes live on June 8.
