Kuro Games' globe-conquering open-world gacha is about to add one more platform to its roster. Wuthering Waves is coming to Xbox Series X|S on July 27, 2026, arriving free-to-play with full feature parity to every other version — and bringing Xbox Play Anywhere, cloud support and a set of Game Pass perks along for the ride.
The announcement, first made during an Xbox showcase earlier this year, completes a platform sweep that already spans PC, Mac, PlayStation 5, iOS and Android. From late July, Xbox players will finally be able to wash up on the shores of Solaris as Rover and start rebuilding their lost memories alongside the game's ever-growing cast of Resonators.
Crucially, this isn't a stripped-back port. Kuro Games is promising the Xbox release will launch with full feature parity, meaning the same content, the same live-service cadence and the same version updates that land everywhere else. As an Xbox Play Anywhere title, it bridges Xbox Series X|S and Xbox on PC with shared progression, and Xbox Cloud Gaming support means you can dip into the world from more than just the console under your TV.

Game Pass perks and perfect timing
Xbox Game Pass members will receive in-game benefits to mark the launch, the kind of welcome-bundle goodies that free-to-play crossovers increasingly use to court new players. Kuro hasn't itemized every reward yet, but the gesture signals that the studio wants the Xbox debut to feel like an event rather than an afterthought.
The timing is hard to argue with. Wuthering Waves is riding the momentum of Version 3.4, 'The Dream Not Dreamed,' and its high-profile Cyberpunk: Edgerunners collaboration — meaning Xbox newcomers will be arriving while the game is in one of its splashiest content windows yet. For a title that has spent two years building a reputation as one of the most visually aggressive action gacha games around, July 27 is shaping up to be a strong front door for a brand-new audience.
