ANOMALITH, FuRyu's new survival third-person shooter about a teenage girl diving into reality-warping "Anomaly Zones" across Japan, launches on October 29, 2026 (JST) on PS5, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC via Steam. Steam lists the date as October 28 for players in the West, and anyone who bought the PlayStation Store Digital Deluxe Edition gets in 48 hours earlier, which puts early access this week, starting today. It is a new IP with an unusual pedigree: the scenario is by Romeo Tanaka, characters are designed by MON, and the soundtrack is composed by Yuka Kitamura.
What ANOMALITH is
The setup is pure urban horror. In an unspecified year of the near future, Anomaly Zones start appearing across Japan without warning, swallowing ordinary places and twisting them into something else. Seventeen-year-old Reona Minazuki loses her best friend, Arisa Kato, when the shopping mall they are visiting "anomalizes" around them. Reona makes it out; Arisa does not. To find her, Reona signs up as a Diver for the government-backed Anomaly Zone Countermeasures Office, and on her very first Dive, as the other Divers around her are wiped out, a strange power wakes up inside her.
FuRyu pitches the look as liminal spaces filtered through Showa-era retro design: subway cars, hospital corridors, school buildings and malls, all familiar enough to recognise and wrong enough to unsettle. The cast is fully voiced in Japanese, with Hitomi Ueda as Reona and Natsumi Haruse as Arisa, and the game ships with English, Japanese, Korean and both Simplified and Traditional Chinese text.

Dive, retrieve, return
The core loop is an extraction structure. Each Dive sends Reona into a Zone where she has no choice but to fight the creatures FuRyu calls Anomalies, while managing a limited supply of ammunition and deciding what is worth carrying out. Getting back to the extraction point with your haul is the point of every trip; dying in there is the thing you are trying not to do.
Combat leans on two layers. Guns come first, and the developer stresses picking the right weapon for the situation rather than leaning on one favourite. On top of that sit Reona's Anomalization Skills, a set of offensive and defensive abilities that let her shape the flow of a fight. A small drone companion follows her through the Zones, and an operator, Yuiga Koda, talks her through each Dive from headquarters.

Building your kit
What you bring back matters. Anomalous Objects recovered from the Zones feed into a development system at the Countermeasures Office, where they are spent to build and upgrade weapons and gear, down to individual attachments such as stocks with their own stat trade-offs. Appearance is handled separately: outfits can be swapped without changing stats, so you can Dive in whatever look you like without paying for it in survivability.

Editions and launch bonuses
ANOMALITH comes in a Standard Edition and a Digital Deluxe Edition on all three platforms. The Deluxe Edition adds an 80-page digital art book, a digital mini-soundtrack, a three-outfit "Armed Schoolgirl" set, three extra weapons (a semi-automatic sniper rifle, a double-barreled shotgun and a prototype handgun) and a consumables pack with ammunition, sedatives and currency.
The 48-hour early access is specific to the Digital Deluxe Edition bought on the PlayStation Store. Early buyers on every platform get a crossover with Lost Property Control Organization: a collaboration side mission, a matching outfit set and a drone skin, plus a development materials pack. On Steam that early purchase bonus runs from October 29 to November 11 (JST). FuRyu has also lined up a Steam bundle pairing ANOMALITH with Peripeteia from October 29, with an extra 10% off the launch sale prices.
Interest ahead of launch has been solid for a new IP from a mid-sized publisher: FuRyu marked passing 80,000 wishlists with a commemorative illustration earlier this month, and has been counting down to release on Steam with daily art and a special commercial.
