Borderlands 4's Bounty Pack 4: Murders and Acquisitions Arrives July 30 With New Legendaries and a Vault Card Refresh

Borderlands 4 is getting its next chunk of post-launch content. Gearbox used its latest DevCast to detail Bounty Pack 4: Murders and Acquisitions, confirmed to launch July 30, 2026 alongside the game's V1.9 update.

Borderlands 4 combat

A Turf War in the Toxic Scowl

The new content centers on a repeatable mission set in the Toxic Scowl, a polluted desert canyon where players help Levaine, leader of the Electi faction, mediate a conflict between two rival Ripper factions - the pacifist Flock and the aggressive Blasphemers. True to Borderlands form, it's a choice-driven encounter: your decisions shape the dialogue, alter the combat, and change which side shows up to help you against the boss.

Borderlands 4 boss encounter

New Loot on Offer

Beating the final boss and three mini-bosses drops one new Pearlescent weapon and six new Legendary items, plus a new Vault Hunter skin, vehicle skin, and ECHO-4 drone skin for completing the content. Bounty Pack 4 is being sold in two pieces: the core Murders and Acquisitions narrative expansion, and a refreshed Vault Card 4 carrying 24 cosmetic rewards plus 4 rerollable gear pieces.

Story Pack 2 Already on the Horizon

Gearbox used the same DevCast to tease what's next: Story Pack 2: FL4K and the Last Resort, which sends FL4K hunting a missing skag across a volcanic jungle island tangled up in a Tediore operation. It arrives September 10 alongside Bounty Pack 5 and a new playable Vault Hunter, Loveless the Hacker.

Why It Matters

Borderlands 4's post-launch cadence has stayed steady and choice-driven rather than purely loot-focused, and Bounty Pack 4 keeps that pattern going - a real narrative beat wrapped around fresh Legendaries, not just a boss reskin. With Story Pack 2 already dated for September, Gearbox is signaling this is a Vault Hunter roadmap built to run well into the back half of the year.
