Funcom has two more survival games on the way to PlayStation 5. Astrolabe Interactive's cozy sky-island sandbox Aloft makes its console debut on PS5 in early 2027, and Conan Exiles Enhanced, the overhauled version of Funcom's long-running barbarian survival game, follows in the same window. Neither has a firm release date yet, but both can be wishlisted on PlayStation Store now, and current Conan Exiles owners on PlayStation will not have to pay again for the upgrade.
The announcement came from Funcom on the PlayStation Blog, not long after the publisher brought Dune: Awakening to PS5. Taken together, the three releases make Funcom's survival catalog one of the bigger open-world lineups heading to Sony's console over the next few months.
Aloft: a survival game built in the clouds
Aloft has been in Early Access on PC since January 2025. It is a co-op sandbox set across a scattered archipelago of floating islands, and the central idea is that you can turn those islands into skyships. You build a home on a rock in the sky, fit it out, and then fly the whole thing across a bright, open world, either alone or with friends.
The PS5 version is not a snapshot of the Early Access build. Astrolabe says it ships with every update released during Early Access plus the full 1.0 release, which the studio describes as its complete vision for the game, with new content, story and a long list of improvements. Over its time in Early Access, Aloft has received five major content updates that added new wildlife, puzzles, combat improvements, glider customization and more ground to explore.

The survival loop leans on restoration rather than combat. Players recover lost knowledge, cure a fungal corruption spreading across the islands, look after their animals and weather hurricanes while they slowly bring the sky ecosystem back to health. It is a much gentler survival game than most, and that tone is a big part of why it found an audience on PC.
From a group of friends to a console launch
Astrolabe Interactive has spent six years on Aloft. The team started as a small group of friends and grew into the studio it is today, and it calls the PS5 release a new chapter for the game, crediting its community for carrying the project this far. Funcom is publishing the console version, as it did on PC.
Release dates for both games will come later. For now, early 2027 is the only window Funcom has committed to.
Conan Exiles Enhanced comes to PS5, free for existing owners
The second announcement is aimed at a much larger existing player base. Conan Exiles, Funcom's open-world survival game set in the Exiled Lands of Robert E. Howard's Hyborian Age, first launched in 2018. Its Enhanced version is now coming to PS5, and anyone who already owns Conan Exiles on PlayStation will get the PS5 Enhanced version at no extra cost.

The cross-buy offer also covers new players. Both the PS4 and PS5 versions will be on sale, and buying either one unlocks the other. Purchased Bazaar items and DLC carry over from PS4 to PS5 automatically, so long-time players should not lose the cosmetics and building sets they have collected over the years.
What the Enhanced version changes
Funcom describes Enhanced as a broad visual and usability overhaul rather than new content alone. It upgrades environments, characters, lighting and effects, adds a redesigned UI, and brings performance and quality-of-life improvements. The update is also meant to make moving between the original Exiled Lands map and the Isle of Siptah expansion smoother. Isle of Siptah is still a separate purchase.

Console players also get new story content on day one. The Legacy of the Giant-Kings story arc will be part of the PS5 launch, sending players after the forgotten history of the ancient Giant-Kings with new challenges, discoveries and rewards. Funcom says including it at launch means console players get this major arc as part of the Enhanced release instead of having to wait for it.
What to do now
If you already own Conan Exiles on PS4, there is nothing to buy. The PS5 Enhanced version will be yours when it launches. If you are new to either game, both are listed for wishlisting on PlayStation Store, and Funcom says it will announce release dates and more details closer to launch.
