Rockstar Games has opened pre-orders for the first big piece of Grand Theft Auto VI collector merchandise, and it is not cheap. The Goodtime State – Vice City Collection is a $399.99 box of eleven physical items built around Macca the Gator, a cartoon alligator who stars in a TV show that exists inside the game's version of Leonida. It is listed on the Rockstar Store now, and the store gives November 19 as its availability date, which is the same day GTA VI itself launches on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
The most important line on the listing is the smallest one: the game is not included. This is a merchandise bundle, not a collector's edition of GTA VI, so anyone who wants to play on day one still needs to buy the game separately. The standard edition of GTA VI is $79.99.
What is in the box
Rockstar lists eleven pieces. The headline item is a Macca the Gator figure, sculpted with a cigarette in one hand and what the store calls a flamingo blood martini in the other, and its base twists open to act as a hidden stash compartment. Around it sit some items that are more practical than the usual collector's box fare, including two licensed products from well-known brands:
- Oakley Frogskins sunglasses in matte black with Prizm Sapphire lenses and a pink GTA VI logo
- A New Era 9FORTY A-Frame snapback with Vice City Leonida embroidery and appliqués
- A Leonida Keys crossbody bag in ripstop fabric with a patterned black and pink lining and a debossed YKK zipper pull
- A Macca the Gator magnetic mirror in electroplated pink glass, designed to work as a tray or to hang on a wall with two rear magnets
- A Chunkee the Manatee shot glass with a laser-etched Rockstar logo on the base
- A Vice City swizzle spoon and a razor-blade-style keychain with embossed GTA VI and Vice City logos
- Nine enamel pins in a metal tin and nine vinyl stickers in a small stash bag
- A double-sided poster, with Macca the Gator artwork on one side and a full map of Leonida on the other

The packaging is part of the pitch. Rockstar's product photography shows a tall black presentation box with a magnetic lid printed with "Greetings from Vice City" artwork, a pink tray for the figure and small collectibles, a drawer below that holds the hat and bag, and a lower drawer that holds the mirror in a blue insert. The whole thing measures 19 by 13.5 by 12.5 inches. That makes it a display piece for a shelf rather than a box to stuff in a cupboard.
The map is the most interesting item
Most of the collection is branded lifestyle gear, but the poster deserves attention from anyone following the game closely. Rockstar describes the reverse side as a full view of the Leonida map. Players have so far seen Leonida in pieces, through trailers and the extended Netflix gameplay look. A printed map arriving on launch day is less of a spoiler than it sounds, since buyers will have the game in hand that same day, but it should be a handy reference for anyone planning their first drives out of Vice City.

Why a TV show gator?
Building a $400 box around a fictional cartoon rather than Jason and Lucia, the game's two leads, is a very Rockstar choice. The studio has always leaned on its in-world parody brands, from radio stations to fast food chains, and Macca the Gator and Chunkee the Manatee fit that tradition. The same art style runs through every item: bold comic panels, pink and orange palettes, and a deliberate nod to the tiled cover art of the original Vice City from 2002. It also means Rockstar can sell a themed collection without giving away story details before release.
The item descriptions keep the series' usual tone. The mirror invites you to "reflect on your life choices", the keychain is shaped like a razor blade, and the stickers come in a stash bag. The store also flags the box as an adult collectible for ages 18 and over, with small parts and sharp edges.
Price, shipping and the fine print
At $399.99, the collection costs five times as much as the standard game and four times as much as the $99.99 Ultimate Edition. Rockstar's listing adds a few points worth knowing before ordering:
- It is sold only through the Rockstar Store, and checkout requires signing in with a Rockstar account rather than using guest checkout.
- It is not eligible for free shipping, so delivery costs come on top of the price, and a box this size will not be cheap to post.
- The listing is marked as a pre-order, with November 19 as the availability date.
Rockstar has not published a production run size on the product page, so it is unclear whether the box is a limited run or will stay on sale after launch. Given how much demand there is for GTA VI, anyone set on owning one should not assume it will still be available at launch.
A busy lead-up to November 19
The merch box is the latest part of a marketing push that has picked up pace through September. Rockstar has already announced GTA VI: The Album, a 34-track record of original music due on November 19, following the 27-minute extended gameplay look on Netflix in August. With less than two months to go, expect more of these tie-ins before Vice City opens its doors.
