Hades II Arrives on PS5 and Xbox April 14th at 120fps With Bonus Content

The best-reviewed game of 2025 is finally going multiplatform. Supergiant Games announced that Hades II will launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on April 14th, arriving with bonus content and quality-of-life improvements not yet available on any other platform.

The console versions are far from a simple port. Both the PS5 and Xbox Series X will run at a buttery 120 frames per second, which for a game as fast and fluid as Hades II could be genuinely transformative. The versions ship with every post-launch patch that's landed since the game's September 2025 debut on PC and Nintendo Switch 2, meaning console players are getting the most polished build available from day one.

Supergiant is also including exclusive bonus content with the console launch — a teaser trailer showed what appears to be a new character scene that eagle-eyed fans have been dissecting since the announcement at the Xbox Partner Preview on March 26th. The studio hasn't detailed the full scope of the additions, but they've confirmed new quality-of-life improvements will also roll out simultaneously on PC and Switch.

For those unfamiliar, Hades II follows Melinoë, the Princess of the Underworld, as she wields dark sorcery to confront the Titan Chronos. It builds on everything that made the original Hades a masterpiece — the razor-sharp combat loop, the deeply layered narrative that unfolds over dozens of runs, and the staggering art direction — while expanding the scope in every direction. The game sits at a 96 on Metacritic, making it the highest-rated title of last year by a significant margin.

Hades II will also be available on Xbox Game Pass from day one. Cross-save support between PC, Switch, and the new console versions has been confirmed, letting players pick up their runs on any platform. April 14th can't come soon enough.
