Microsoft and Asobo Studio announced World Update 22 for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 at the Xbox Games Showcase 2026, the latest free update adding enhanced scenery and regional detail for virtual pilots on Xbox Series X|S and PC.

The skies just got a little more detailed. At the Xbox Games Showcase 2026, Microsoft and Asobo Studio announced World Update 22 for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, continuing the sim’s long tradition of free regional enhancement packs.

World Updates have become a staple of the Flight Simulator experience, sharpening satellite imagery, hand-crafting landmarks and adding photogrammetry detail to a chosen region so virtual pilots can fly over a more faithful recreation of the real world.

The update is free for all owners of Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 on Xbox Series X|S and PC, and is available with Game Pass.
