Jagex brought a milestone to Summer Game Fest: RuneScape: Dragonwilds, the survival-crafting breakout, will leave Early Access and hit its full 1.0 launch on September 15, 2026 — and it's doing so simultaneously across PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
Dragonwilds is an open-world, co-op crafting and survival game and the first standalone title to spin out of Jagex's iconic medieval MMORPG. Its Early Access run has been a genuine success story, surpassing one million sales as players chopped, built and battled their way across its dragon-haunted wilds.
A loaded 1.0
The full launch isn't just a label change. Version 1.0 bundles the brand-new Scorned Wilderness update alongside all of the content from the upcoming Umbral Sands expansion, giving newcomers a meatier package and rewarding Early Access veterans with a fresh frontier to tame.
RuneScape comes to PlayStation
Most striking is the console news: following its reveal during Sony's State of Play, Dragonwilds marks the first RuneScape game on PlayStation in 25 years, and it'll be available on PlayStation Plus. Launching day-and-date on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC, it's a major moment for one of 2026's surprise hits.
