Slime Rancher Is Heading to iOS and Android on May 26 — Monomi Park's Beloved Farm Sim Goes Premium Mobile

One of the most beloved indie games of the past decade is making the jump to your pocket. Playdigious has announced that Slime Rancher, the first-person farm-life sim from developer Monomi Park, will launch on iOS and Android on May 26, 2026. It will be a premium release priced at $8.99 on both the App Store and Google Play, with a 10% launch discount for players who pre-register, bringing the price down to $7.99.

For the uninitiated, Slime Rancher originally launched in 2017 and quickly became one of Steam's most enduring indie success stories. Players take on the role of Beatrix LeBeau, a young rancher who ventures to the Far, Far Range, a planet teeming with adorable, gelatinous creatures called slimes. The gameplay loop is deceptively simple: explore the world, collect slimes, feed them, harvest their plorts, and sell those plorts for profit. What starts as a casual farm sim steadily deepens into a game with real resource management, exploration incentives, and a surprisingly touching story told through letters from home.

The mobile version is being developed in collaboration with Playdigious, a studio known for its high-quality mobile ports of indie titles including Dead Cells, Northgard, and Streets of Rage 4. That pedigree should reassure fans worried about the transition to touchscreens. The mobile port includes a completely revamped interface designed specifically for touch controls, ensuring that the first-person exploration and ranching mechanics translate smoothly to smaller screens.

The full game will be included at launch, with all post-release content updates that have been added to the PC version over the years. That means the Moss Blanket, Indigo Quarry, Ancient Ruins, Glass Desert, and all the slime variants and ranch upgrades that came with each expansion are present from day one. Three game modes will be available: Adventure, Casual, and Rush, giving players flexibility in how they approach the experience.

Crucially, this is a premium title with no microtransactions, no ads, and no free-to-play gimmicks. In a mobile landscape dominated by gacha mechanics and energy timers, Slime Rancher's pay-once-and-play model is a welcome change. The $8.99 price point positions it alongside other premium mobile ports that have found success by offering complete experiences without hidden costs.

Pre-registration is already open on both the App Store and Google Play. Beyond the 10% discount, early sign-ups will also receive notifications when the game goes live, so there is no risk of missing the launch window for the deal. Given Playdigious's track record with mobile ports and the enduring popularity of Slime Rancher, this could easily become one of the most popular premium mobile games of the summer.

Slime Rancher 2, which launched in Early Access in 2022 and has continued to expand since, remains a PC and console title for now. But the original game's arrival on mobile suggests that Monomi Park sees value in broadening the franchise's reach, and it is hard to think of a better fit for on-the-go gaming than a colorful world full of bouncing, smiling slimes waiting to be wrangled.
