Lara Croft finally has a date. Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis, Crystal Dynamics and Flying Wild Hog’s complete reimagining of the 1996 original, locked in a February 12, 2027 launch on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC during today’s State of Play — with a Nintendo Switch 2 version newly confirmed for the same day. The stunning new trailer leans hard into the classic Lara silhouette and the globe-trotting hunt for the pieces of the Scion, even as the date quietly confirms a slip out of 2026 and well clear of Grand Theft Auto VI’s window.
1996, rebuilt from scratch
Built in Unreal Engine 5, Legacy of Atlantis retraces the original’s route from the jungles of Peru and its Lost Valley through the ruins of Greece and the deserts of Egypt to a mysterious Mediterranean island. Crystal Dynamics says the tombs are now semi-connected environments you can traverse and attack from multiple angles, with every puzzle rebuilt from scratch — including the iconic cog puzzle, reimagined and grounded in the world. Iconic moments return “in ways that weren’t possible 30 years ago,” with new surprises woven between them.
Two editions, early access for the impatient
Pre-orders are already live: the $59.99 Standard Edition includes a Survivor Outfit as a pre-order bonus, while the $69.99 Deluxe Edition adds a Parisian Fugitive outfit, a post-launch DLC story pack and 48-hour early access — meaning Deluxe players raid their first tomb on February 10. Japan, Asia, Australia and New Zealand get the game on February 13. After three decades, Atlantis is calling again.
