Trine 6: Together in Time Brings the Heroes Back for a Time-Twisting Co-Op Adventure - Frozenbyte's Puzzle-Platformer Returns September 17

The Trine series is back. Revealed during Day of the Devs: Summer Game Fest Edition 2026, Trine 6: Together in Time is the sixth mainline entry in Frozenbyte's beloved physics-and-magic puzzle-platformer series, and it arrives with a firm release date: September 17, 2026.

True to the subtitle, time is the hook this go-round. The story opens on two newcomers, Moira and Adrius, who set out to pull off a magical heist and quickly find themselves in well over their heads when their fate becomes entangled with that of the realm's most famous adventurers. To set things right, they have to join forces with the classic trio - the wizard Amadeus, the thief Zoya and the knight Pontius - restore the powerful, time-bending magic they accidentally unleashed, and foil a dangerous warlock who wants it for himself.

Built for co-op, playable solo

Frozenbyte is leaning hard into the "Together" part of the title. Trine 6 supports 1-4 player co-op, both locally on the same couch and online, and the puzzles have been designed with a co-op-first approach that rewards players for coordinating their actions and combining their abilities. The five-hero roster - three returning favorites and two brand-new characters - gives groups more ways to stack physics objects, conjure platforms and zip across the storybook environments the series is known for. Solo players aren't left out, with the classic single-player flow intact for anyone who prefers a quieter adventure.

Trine 6: Together in Time painterly fantasy world with the playable heroes

Trine 6: Together in Time is developed by Frozenbyte and published by Cooldown Games. It launches on September 17, 2026 across Steam, the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2, and it's available to wishlist now.
