One of the most quietly impressive shooters on PC is making the jump to console. VOID/BREAKER, the high-velocity roguelite FPS from Stubby Games and publisher Playstack, is confirmed to be charging onto PlayStation 5 in 2026, with a fresh demo and a roadmap already laying out the road to its 1.0 release.
If you haven't run into it yet, VOID/BREAKER is built around two ideas that play off each other beautifully: a fully destructible environment and an obsessively deep gun-modding system. You're dropped into a mysterious simulation where every run reshuffles the layout, and the walls, floors, and cover around you can be blown apart, sculpted, and rebuilt as you fight. Movement is fast and aggressive, leaning on the kind of momentum-driven combat that rewards never standing still.
Build the gun, break the room
The hook is the modular weaponry. Runs are about unlocking new guns and bolting modular add-ons onto them, chaining effects until your loadout turns into something gloriously broken. Combine that with terrain you can demolish on the fly and you get firefights where the arena itself is part of your arsenal - punch a hole through a wall to flank, drop a floor out from under an enemy, or carve your own sightlines.

Where to play it now
VOID/BREAKER has been in Early Access on Steam and PC Game Pass since August 2025, priced at $19.99, and Stubby Games has steadily expanded it with major content updates like ASCENSION. The PS5 version follows the same plan: build out the experience, gather feedback, and push toward a polished full launch in the back half of 2026. For a roguelite shooter whose whole identity is reactive destruction and improvisation, a console audience feels like a natural next arena.
