Kuro Games has dated Wuthering Waves' next major update. Version 3.7, subtitled Prism's Illusion, Heart's Illumination, goes live on September 30 across every platform the game runs on, and it arrives with two new Resonators, a new corner of Mengzhou to walk through, five new Echoes, and a surprisingly deep pile of quality-of-life work that veteran players will probably notice before they notice anything else.
Chapter IV keeps rolling
The headline story content is Main Quest Chapter IV Act IV, titled Simulacrum of the Heart. It continues the arc the 3.x cycle has been building across Solaris-3 rather than resetting anywhere new, which is consistent with how Kuro has paced the last several patches: big regional set pieces have given way to tighter, character-focused acts that push the central plot forward a beat at a time.
Running alongside it is a new Tales Quest, Moonlike Heart, Mortal Longing. Tales Quests sit outside the main thread and tend to be where the writing gets room to breathe, so if the naming is any guide, this one is pointed squarely at the two Resonators joining the roster.
The Simulacrum Nexus of Mengzhou
Version 3.7 opens the Simulacrum Nexus of Mengzhou, a new area tied into the Simulacrum framing the update's title keeps circling back to. Mengzhou has been part of the game's geography since the Huanglong content of version 3.5, so this is an expansion of ground players already know rather than a wholly separate continent — a smaller, denser addition rather than a sprawl.

There is also a new permanent event, Blooms for the Shadow. Permanent is the operative word: unlike the rotating seasonal events, it stays in the game after the patch cycle ends, which makes it available to anyone who starts the game late or comes back after a long gap.
Hsin and Suoming join the Convenes
Two new Resonators arrive in 3.7 — Hsin and Suoming — both through the update's Featured Resonator Convenes. Kuro has been building toward Hsin for a couple of weeks already: the studio put out a cinematic short called Hsin's Trail in mid-September and followed it with a character song, Ode to Hsin and Moon, the sort of pre-launch drumbeat the studio reserves for characters it expects to carry a banner.
Two new weapons come with them: Blooming Jadehaven and Unspoken Rue. As usual for Wuthering Waves, those will be the signature options the new Resonators are tuned around, with the standard pool remaining a workable fallback for anyone unwilling to spend on weapon banners.
Five new Echoes
The Echo system gets its largest single addition in a while. Five new Echoes are being added — Formrender, Soulfrayer, Skywatch Lancer, Bloomburst Puppet and Jade Nether Serpent — along with three new Sonata Effects and one new Phantom Echo, Phantom: Skywatch Lancer.
Three Sonata Effects in one patch is the part worth flagging. Sonatas are the set bonuses that decide which Echoes actually go on a build, and adding three at once tends to reshuffle more of the roster than a single new character does. Existing builds rarely get invalidated outright, but the ceiling moves, and the grind for new substats restarts for anyone who chases it.
The quality-of-life pass
This is the section that may matter most to people who have been playing since launch. Version 3.7 adds Main Quest Replay through the Journey Log, letting players revisit story content they have already cleared — something the game has never offered, and a real gap for a title whose plot has run for well over two years.
Team management is being expanded to twenty saved team setups, up from the much tighter limit players have been juggling, and a new 3D Team Setup Mode changes how those teams are presented. On the photography side, the update adds Handheld and Selfie camera modes with adjustable poses and expressions, which slots neatly into a game whose community does a lot of its own promotion through screenshots.
Kuro is also running a limited test of Tiered Client Resource Downloads. The practical read: the client gets to fetch less up front and pull the rest as needed, which is aimed straight at mobile players who have watched the install size climb patch after patch. It is a test rather than a full rollout, so it will not reach everyone on day one.
Events into November
The patch's event slate includes Cubie Wars, Gifts of Waking Moon, Echo Erase, Dreams in the Capsule, Past Dreams and Traced Seals, Artisan's Search, and Beyond the Waves: Land of Xuanfang. One of them has a firm window already: Gifts of Singing Drizzle runs from October 22 to November 11, placing it in the back half of the patch cycle rather than the launch rush.
The 3.7 preview broadcast also flagged two things sitting outside the game itself — Solaris Starry Stage, a programme built around fan creations, and Wuwa Tappo, a Wuthering Waves desktop pet application. Neither is patch content, but both point at Kuro continuing to push the game's presence past the client.
When and where
Version 3.7 launches September 30 on iOS via the App Store, Android via Google Play, PC through the standalone client as well as Steam, the Epic Games Store and the Microsoft Store, plus PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Cross-progression carries across all of them, so the phone build remains the same save file as the console and PC versions. Wuthering Waves itself remains free to play.
