Kuro Games has dropped the official launch trailer for Wuthering Waves Version 3.4, "The Dream Not Dreamed," locking in a release date of June 8 (UTC+8) for the free-to-play open-world action RPG's biggest crossover yet. The cinematic confirms what dataminers and the recent preview broadcast had teased: Studio Trigger's Cyberpunk: Edgerunners is officially crashing into the world of Solaris-3.
The trailer leans into the neon-soaked tone of the collaboration while weaving it into Wuthering Waves' own story threads, setting the stage for a version stacked with new Resonators, events and rewards across its six-week run.
Headlining the update are Lucy and Rebecca, who join as 5-Star Resonators straight out of Edgerunners. Their banners run for the entire version, and in a generous touch, any Rover above Union Level 10 can claim Rebecca for free through the collaboration event — a rare gift of a limited five-star that is sure to drive a wave of returning players.
A new face and a returning favourite
Beyond the collaboration, Version 3.4 introduces Lucilla as a brand-new playable Resonator making her debut, while fan-favourite Cartethyia returns on a rerun banner. Lucilla and Cartethyia headline the second half of the patch, giving players a reason to keep pulling well after the initial Edgerunners rush. As ever with Kuro's banner cadence, planning your Astrites around the two-phase schedule will be key.
The Cyberpunk: Edgerunners crossover
The collaboration is the centrepiece of "The Dream Not Dreamed." Alongside Lucy and Rebecca, the preview teased a cameo from none other than David Martinez, hinting that the partnership reaches deeper into the anime's cast than a simple guest character or two. Expect themed events, cosmetics and story content steeped in Night City attitude, all reinterpreted through Wuthering Waves' signature high-speed combat and traversal.
When and where to play
Version 3.4 "The Dream Not Dreamed" goes live on June 8 (UTC+8), with the usual maintenance period beforehand and a fresh batch of livestream redemption codes for free Astrites. Wuthering Waves is free-to-play on iOS, Android, PC and PlayStation 5, with cross-progression across platforms — so whether you main the game on a phone or a console, Lucy, Rebecca and Lucilla will be waiting when the update drops.
