HoYoverse has dated Zenless Zone Zero Version 3.2, and it is carrying the first new Agent Specialty the game has added in a long while. Their Secret Histories goes live on September 9, 2026 across iOS, Android, PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and Xbox Cloud Gaming, and it introduces Armorer - a role built to attack and defend at the same time, with two mechanics, Maim and multi-CRIT, that do not exist anywhere else in the game yet.
Two S-Rank Agents anchor the update, and they arrive from the same faction. Claret, head of the Flint family and Administrative Director of Flint Workshop, comes first as an S-Rank Electric Armorer. Roxy - Roxy Ifrita Pryce, the workshop's chief smith - follows in the second half as an S-Rank Wind Stun Agent. If you want a head start, HoYoverse handed out the redemption code FLINTWORKS during the Special Program.
How Armorer actually works
Claret is the first playable Armorer, and her kit is the clearest statement of what the Specialty is for. Her attacks stack Gash on enemies; once it is fully stacked, Gash is applied to the target, and hitting that target with specific skills triggers Maim for bonus damage plus a Laceration DMG boost.
The build implications are unusual. Every one of Claret's skills uses DEF as its base damage multiplier rather than ATK - the offense-and-defense framing is not just flavour text. On top of that, multi-CRIT means that once her CRIT Rate goes past 100 percent, the excess is not wasted: the overflow portion is calculated using Laceration DMG in place of normal CRIT DMG. Her initial CRIT DMG is also converted into initial CRIT Rate at a set ratio, so stacking DEF, CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG together is the whole puzzle. That is a genuinely different stat priority from anything else in the roster.
The Specialty as a whole also gets Counter Assist, which lets Armorers contest certain enemy Control Skills and shove the attacker back - a defensive tool no other role currently has.

Roxy plays completely differently. Her kit revolves around Eyes of the Storm: holding her EX Special Attack plants a tornado on the field that forms an Eye, and those Eyes can then be gathered and detonated into one much larger tornado. Her Ultimate spawns several tornadoes before delivering a wide frontal strike. As a Wind Stun Agent she is the daze-building half of the Flint Workshop pair.
Banners and reruns
Claret's Signal Search runs in the first half of the version alongside her Exclusive W-Engine, Crimson Thirst, with Nangong Yu rerunning next to her. The second half brings Roxy and her W-Engine Crimson Moon Casket, paired with a Promeia rerun. Both reruns include the Agents' Exclusive W-Engines.
Vyrium, and what the Proxies are doing there
The main story pushes into Vyrium, a special zone inside the Shrouded Reef, where the Proxies are seeking further treatment for the mutated power inside their body. What they find instead is that Roscaelifer - supposedly impregnable - has been quietly infiltrated by TOPS. In parallel, a shipment of Porcelloy from Flint Workshop vanishes at a transfer station, which is what drags Claret and Roxy into the Proxies' orbit. The trail leads to a covert research facility with deep ties to Helios Academy, and Lindverne Sunbringer, Administrative Director of the Airspace Patrol Department, separately asks Claret to chase Porcelloy leads through the remnants of Girtablullu. HoYoverse is teasing a mysterious old classmate and secrets Sunbringer has been sitting on for years.

Free outfits, and a lot of them
Producer Zhenyu announced via handwritten letter that the Angels of Delusion faction outfit series will be obtainable for free through events spanning Versions 3.2 and 3.3. The 14-day Surprise Screening Plan check-in event lets you pick one outfit after clearing its missions, and another can be earned by beating Challenge Mode in Clink, Clank, Pinball Knight! and claiming it through Angels Support Operation.
Other events include Diary of an Orbie Parent, Chronicles of the Hobbling Crow and Shadow Chase Showdown, paying out Polychromes and Tuning Calibrators. Simply logging in during the version period nets a cumulative 10 Encrypted Master Tapes and 10 Boopons.
System changes worth knowing
Enigma of the Labyrinth: Operation Bagel gets a standard season update with extra Z-Rank valuables, character Gear, harder challenges, server-wide rankings and refreshed season missions. Claret and Roxy get new Tactical Prisms and Gear tied to Armorer. A new item, the Break-Even Beacon, lets you send some collected supplies away with a Bangboo before extraction - and those supplies still count toward the run even if the extraction attempt afterwards fails, which takes a lot of the sting out of a bad last minute. HoYoverse says a larger themed season update with new maps, systems and higher-difficulty challenges is still in development.
The Beginner Guide expands to include Jane, Hugo and Soldier 0 - Anby; anyone who did not spend their Agent selection perk in Version 3.1 can pick one of them after the update, and clearing the Guide's Phase 2 missions grants a matching Exclusive W-Engine. Koleda is getting an enhancement pass. And the Perfect Assist indicators are being cleaned up so that a golden flash always means a Defensive Assist is available while a red flash always means Evasive Assist - a small readability fix, but one players have been asking for since launch.
