ArcheAge Chronicles finally has a date. XLGAMES has confirmed that its open-world action MMORPG will launch in Steam Early Access on November 3, 2026, at 3:00 PM PST, which is 23:00 UTC. Pre-orders opened on Steam alongside the announcement at $29.99, and the studio has laid out exactly what will be in the Early Access build and what it plans to add before full release.
When it unlocks and what pre-orders get you
The launch time lands late on November 3 for Europe and early on November 4 for much of Asia, so check the conversion before you plan an evening around it. Early Access is a paid entry rather than a free beta: the store lists the game at $29.99, and XLGAMES says the price may change at full release to reflect added content, with any change announced in advance.
Pre-ordering adds the Dawn Pioneer Set, a cosmetic costume set that is exclusive to pre-orders. There is a catch worth knowing before you buy: each pre-order includes one Dawn Pioneer Set for a single class of your choice, not one per class. The set is claimed in-game once Early Access goes live.
The announcement follows straight on from the game's Steam Next Fest demo, which ended on October 26. XLGAMES also added a server physically located in Brazil on October 23 after player requests; for now it appears under the NA category in the server list.

What is in the Early Access build
XLGAMES has been specific about scope. Early Access opens with three regions of Auroria: Diamond Shores, Gylden Ruins and Astron Plains. Players pick from four classes, and each class has two weapons, for eight weapons in total. Your weapon choice shapes your build, and the combat is built around jumping, rolling, dashing, blocking and parrying rather than standing still and cycling abilities.
Around the combat sits the rest of an MMO: dungeons, raids, PvP, housing, crafting, trading, and company and guild activities. Each region carries its own storyline and quests, but the game does not force a set route. The setting is the Age of Pioneers. Auroria, a land long forgotten, has been rediscovered, and you arrive as an experienced explorer working for an established trading company, pulled into the mystery of a catastrophic airship crash.

Life skills, trade runs and the ArcheAge DNA
Series veterans will recognise the pillars. Hunting, gathering, farming, housing and crafting all return as life skills, and the trade run, hauling goods across dangerous territory while other players try to take them, is still central. The store copy pitches it as a cooperative frontier: learn recipes, trade with other players, and defend your routes together. The game is also designed as an entry point for newcomers, so you do not need any history with the original ArcheAge to follow the story.
How long Early Access lasts, and what changes
XLGAMES expects Early Access to run for roughly 9 to 12 months, with both major and minor updates planned, though it notes that the timeline may shift depending on feedback and development. The planned additions for the full release include:
- More regions of Auroria, each with new adventures and stories
- Additional gender options for classes, starting with select classes
- A third weapon for every class
- Rebalanced combat and progression, plus quality-of-life features including party channels
- Expanded life skills and community content
The studio says several of these, including the extra gender options and the third weapon, came directly out of testing feedback, and it plans to publish a fuller roadmap. Feedback will run through the official Discord and the Steam Community discussions.

ArcheAge Chronicles PC requirements
The requirements are demanding. Both tiers assume upscaling set to Quality mode, and both need a 100 GB SSD install.
Minimum (targets 30 FPS at 1080p on Low): Windows 10 64-bit, Intel Core i5-10400 or AMD Ryzen 5 3600, 16 GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 SUPER or AMD Radeon RX 6600 (8 GB VRAM), DirectX 12, 100 GB SSD.
Recommended (targets 60 FPS at 1080p on High): Windows 11 64-bit, Intel Core i7-12700 or AMD Ryzen 7 5700X, 32 GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 16GB or AMD Radeon RX 7700 XT (12 GB VRAM), DirectX 12, 100 GB SSD.
That recommended tier is steep for 1080p: 32 GB of system memory and a 12 to 16 GB graphics card. Anyone who ran the Next Fest demo comfortably has a good idea of where they stand. Everyone else should treat the minimum spec as a hard floor rather than a comfortable target.
The short version
ArcheAge Chronicles enters Steam Early Access on November 3 at 3:00 PM PST for $29.99, with three regions, four classes and eight weapons at launch, and a planned 9 to 12 months before full release. Pre-orders are open now and include one Dawn Pioneer costume set for the class of your choice.
