Everything From the June 25 Capcom Spotlight - Dragon's Dogma 2's Dark Arisen Expansion, a Brutal New Onimusha Boss, and Monster Hunter Stories 3's Rudy Side Story

Capcom's June 25 Spotlight detailed Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark Arisen (the frozen Norgan region, 12 Lost Rites dungeons and a free late-August base update), revealed Onimusha: Way of the Sword's vicious new boss Dohatsu-ten, and added a Rudy side story to Monster Hunter Stories 3.

Everything From the June 25 Capcom Spotlight - Dragon's Dogma 2's Dark Arisen Expansion, a Brutal New Onimusha Boss, and Monster Hunter Stories 3's Rudy Side Story

Capcom packed roughly half an hour of news into its June 25 Capcom Spotlight, and three games did most of the heavy lifting: a frigid new expansion for Dragon's Dogma 2, a brutal boss reveal for Onimusha: Way of the Sword, and a story-driven DLC drop for Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection. Here is everything that mattered.

Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark Arisen heads north to Norgan

The headliner was a deeper look at Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark Arisen, the paid expansion that sends the Arisen into a mysterious frozen northern region called Norgan. There you uncover the story of a Fallen Dragon — an eerie beast with a missing heart — and its pursuer, a mysterious woman named Eir. The expansion also adds 12 new dungeons known as the Lost Rites, each a self-contained challenge for high-level pawns and their masters.

Just as important for existing players: Capcom confirmed a free base-game update due in late August that improves performance across all platforms, adds more save slots, retunes the dreaded Dragonsplague condition, and bumps weapon skill slots from four to six — a meaningful quality-of-life boost for builds that have always felt one slot short.

Onimusha: Way of the Sword shows off Dohatsu-ten

Director Satoru Nihei pulled back the curtain on a vicious new boss for Onimusha: Way of the Sword: Dohatsu-ten, a fast, winged Genma swordsman who crosses blades with protagonist Miyamoto Musashi. Capcom describes him as a relentless, technical duelist built to test your reflexes and composure. The studio held firm on the game's September 25, 2026 release across PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2 and PC, and confirmed a standalone PC benchmark tool arriving July 14.

Monster Hunter Stories 3 adds the Rudy side story

Finally, Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection got an Additional Side Story: Rudy, priced at $9.99 and free for Deluxe and Premium edition owners. The new chapter explores the origins of Rudy, the Royal Felyne, and his ancestors. A free update landed alongside it, adding fresh endgame challenges for players who have already tamed their way through the main campaign.

No surprise megaton reveal this time — but for fans of three of Capcom's biggest ongoing series, the June Spotlight delivered concrete dates, prices and roadmaps worth circling on the calendar.
