Supercell has kicked off Clash Royale's Season 84, 'Stone Cold,' and it is a chilly one. The June season is built around two marquee additions: a long-awaited Evolution for the Princess and a brand-new Hero, Tombstone — the kind of one-two punch that reshapes the meta for everyone from ladder grinders to top-tier league players.
Princess Evolution: Ice Arrows and a frozen battlefield
The Princess finally gets her Evolution, and it leans hard into control. Her first shot — and every third one after that — fires an icy arrow that slows every enemy in a small area. When the Evolved Princess is defeated, her arrows scatter and leave behind a frozen zone that keeps slowing troops moving through it. With a two-cycle requirement, roughly one in every three Princess deployments will be the evolved version, so timing those icy volleys becomes its own mini-game.

Hero Tombstone and the Tomb Queen
The season's new Hero is Tombstone, and its ability — Regal Revival — is a showstopper. When triggered, the Tombstone transforms into the Tomb Queen, a tanky ground unit that marches on buildings while continuously spawning Skeletons around her. At a hefty 6 Elixir, it is one of the most expensive Hero abilities Supercell has shipped, so deploying it is a real commitment rather than a casual flex.
Unlike recent Heroes, Tombstone is not locked behind Pass Royale. Instead, players can unlock it for free through the Undead Bazaar event, a market-style grind similar to the previous season's Festival Market.

The Stone Cold update also brings a round of balance changes — nerfs to several Evolutions, Heroes and spell Crown Tower damage — and earlier in the month the season ran the no-King-Tower Princess Gambit league event. Between a control-heavy Evolution and a reviving Tomb Queen, June's Clash Royale is colder, slower and a lot more skeleton-filled than usual.
