Control Resonant Sets September 24 and Brings Jesse Back

Remedy dated Control Resonant for September 24, 2026 at the June 2 State of Play, with a story trailer confirming a paranatural Manhattan setting, Dylan Faden as the sole playable lead, and the return of Jesse Faden and Dr. Casper Darling across PS5, Xbox, PC and Mac.

Control Resonant Sets September 24 and Brings Jesse Back

Control Resonant, Remedy Entertainment's sequel to its 2019 cult favorite, locked in a September 24, 2026 release date during the June 2 State of Play, and the accompanying story trailer brought back a face fans have been waiting years to see again.

Manhattan, bent out of shape

Resonant moves the action out of the Oldest House and into a Manhattan twisted by paranatural forces, all impossible layouts, shifting realities and monstrous entities. With Jesse Faden missing, the Federal Bureau of Control turns to her gifted brother Dylan Faden - the sole playable character this time - to tackle the growing otherworldly threat, and the trailer confirms that Jesse's arc remains tightly tied to his. Also back is Dr. Casper Darling, the FBC's eccentric lead researcher and one of the original's most beloved characters.

Platforms and early access

Control Resonant launches on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, and Mac. Players who grab the PS5 Digital Deluxe Edition get 48 hours of early access ahead of the September 24 launch. After the success of the original and Remedy's interconnected universe ambitions, Resonant is one of the studio's biggest swings yet, and a September date puts it squarely in the conversation for the fall's must-play action games.
