Diablo’s 30th anniversary year has a new headliner on phones: Diablo Immortal has added the Warlock, its tenth playable class and its first new class since launch. The demon-summoning spellcaster went live on June 17, 2026 as the centerpiece of the Bloodied Jewel 5.0 update, arriving roughly two months after the Warlock made its debut in Diablo IV.
It is a big moment for Blizzard’s free-to-play ARPG. A brand-new class is the rarest kind of addition for Immortal, and the Warlock lands as the spearhead of one of the game’s largest content drops to date.
The Warlock is built as a hybrid — equal parts ranged caster and master of demons. It summons fiends to fight alongside it, opens portals, wields the raw power of the Burning Hells, and can swap between combat styles on the fly, flooding the screen with fiery chains and conjured horrors. If you have played the console and PC version’s take on the class, the mobile incarnation will feel immediately familiar.
Inside the Bloodied Jewel 5.0 update
The Warlock did not arrive alone. Blizzard rolled out the full Bloodied Jewel content update on June 16, with the class itself unlocking on June 17. The update layers in a new skill-focused, equalised PvP tournament, a Battlegrounds seasonal refresh, a new limited-time boss event and a powerful new Legendary Gem to chase — the kind of broad sweep that gives both new and veteran players a reason to log back in.
Try the Warlock before you commit
Rather than forcing players to reroll blind, Immortal is letting everyone sample the new class first. An origin quest called Power’s Price lets you try the Warlock before you create a new character or change class, and a run of Warlock-exclusive events stretches from June 17 through July 6 to ease the transition. As ever, the class is free for all players — no purchase required to add it to your roster.
The Warlock is available now in Diablo Immortal on iOS, Android and PC, with progress shared across platforms.
