Fields of Mistria Leaves Early Access August 5 - Marriage, Kids, and a 1.0 Two Years in the Making

NPC Studio's beloved '90s-inspired farm sim hits version 1.0 on Steam, adding 10-heart romances, weddings, children, two new Saturday Market vendors, and seven new languages.

Fields of Mistria Leaves Early Access August 5 - Marriage, Kids, and a 1.0 Two Years in the Making

Fields of Mistria, the '90s-anime-inspired farming sim that quietly became one of the coziest breakout hits on Steam, is finally shedding its Early Access tag. Developer NPC Studio has confirmed the 1.0 launch for August 5, 2026 - almost exactly two years to the day after the game first arrived in Early Access.

If you have been holding off on Mistria waiting for the full experience, this is the update that fills in the biggest missing pieces. The headline additions are the ones fans have been asking about since day one: full romance progression, marriage, and - yes - children. NPC hearts now cap at 10, and reaching that milestone with a partner unlocks dedicated 10-Heart Proposal and Wedding events, with kids arriving sometime after you tie the knot.

New faces and a bigger world

The 1.0 build also welcomes two new characters to the Saturday Market - Stillwell and Zorel - expanding the town's roster of villagers to befriend and trade with. On top of the new content, NPC Studio is rolling out the game's first wave of localizations, adding Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, French, Japanese, Korean, Russian, and Spanish. That is a meaningful step for a game whose warm, welcoming vibe has clearly resonated well beyond English-speaking players.

Fields of Mistria character interaction
Romance now goes all the way to 10 hearts, weddings, and children.

Fields of Mistria carved out its niche by blending the comfort-food loop of Stardew Valley with a lush, hand-drawn art style that looks like a lost Super Famicom RPG. Two years of Early Access updates steadily added mines, festivals, fishing, and combat, and the community's response has stayed remarkably positive throughout - the kind of grassroots goodwill that is hard to manufacture.

The 1.0 version launches on PC via Steam. Whether you are a returning farmer ready to finally settle down or a newcomer who has been waiting for the 'finished' version, August 5 is the day Mistria officially opens for good.
