It is finally real. Rockstar Games has switched on Grand Theft Auto VI pre-orders, opening reservations on June 25, 2026 for the most anticipated game of the decade. After years of speculation, two record-shattering trailers and a launch date that has loomed over the entire industry, players can now lock in their copy of the long-awaited return to Vice City ahead of the November 19, 2026 release.
If you somehow missed it, the second trailer above is still the definitive look at what Rockstar is building — a sun-drenched, modern-day Leonida built around the most cinematic open world the studio has ever attempted. Now it comes with a price tag and a date you can actually act on.
Two editions, one simple choice
Rockstar has kept the line-up refreshingly clean. There are only two versions on offer: the Standard Edition at $79.99 and the Ultimate Edition at $99.99. There is no $250 collector’s box with a statue, no five-tier pre-order maze — just the base game and a single premium upgrade for players who want the extra in-game perks and bonus content bundled with the Ultimate tier.
Pre-orders are live now across the Rockstar Store, the PlayStation Store and the Microsoft Store, with major retailers including Amazon and GameStop also taking reservations depending on your region.
The Vintage Vice City Pack
Both editions share the same pre-order incentive: the Vintage Vice City Pack, granted to anyone who reserves the game before November 20, 2026. It bundles a classic ’55 Vapid Stanier sedan and its own garage space, a set of period-inspired outfits and hairstyles for both protagonists Jason and Lucia, plus an iconic weapon pattern to carry into the streets of Vice City at launch.
What we actually know about the game
GTA VI returns to the neon sprawl of Leonida, the fictional take on Florida anchored by a reimagined Vice City. For the first time in series history the campaign follows a dual lead — Jason and Lucia — whose Bonnie-and-Clyde dynamic drives a story Rockstar has framed as its most ambitious to date. Everything shown so far points to a living, reactive world that dwarfs even the sprawl of GTA V.
When can you play?
Grand Theft Auto VI launches November 19, 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. A PC version has not been dated, which keeps Rockstar’s long-standing tradition of leading on console and following with PC later. With pre-orders now open and the marketing engine roaring to life, the countdown to the biggest launch in gaming history has officially begun.
