JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Spirit — the newest officially licensed mobile game based on Hirohiko Araki's genre-defining manga and anime — is set to launch worldwide (excluding Japan) on August 13, on iOS and Android. Developed by KLab Games with Wanda Cinemas Games, it's a free-to-play collection RPG built around the series' iconic Stand battles.
Six generations of JoJos, one gacha roster
Golden Spirit pulls playable characters from the first six parts of the saga, spanning Phantom Blood all the way through Stone Ocean. You assemble a team of familiar faces — from Jonathan and Joseph to Jotaro, Josuke, Giorno, and Jolyne — upgrade their equipment, and take them into head-to-head battles that lean on signature Stands and flurry-of-fists rush combos.
Presentation is a big part of the pitch. The game uses a hybrid of 3D models and Live2D animation to recreate scenes and character moments straight from the anime, complete with cinematic camera work and an episode-style framing designed to mirror the source material. A dynamic weather system even shifts character abilities mid-battle, adding a layer of strategy on top of the fan service. Fittingly, the soundtrack is composed by Yugo Kanno, who scored the anime from Stardust Crusaders onward.
The game ran a closed beta test back in May, and pre-registration is open now ahead of the August 13 global rollout. If you've been waiting for a JoJo mobile title that actually looks the part, this one is worth putting on your radar.
