Arc System Works has announced a survivors-like spin on its 40-year-old Kunio-kun brawler series, launching on Apple Arcade on October 1. It evolves the series' signature Special Moves through randomised level-ups, layers six gear slots on top for between-run progression, unlocks over 20 characters, and lets you bring two AI companions - with no ads or in-app purchases.
Arc System Works' 4v4 Marvel tag fighter unlocked on August 6 for PS5 and PC with 20 characters across five teams, a five-arc Episode mode, the roguelike All-Star Arena and Arcadia Rumble - an eight-player chibi beat-'em-up only explained days before launch. Phoenix Cyclops leads the season pass, and a leaked 21st fighter is still officially unacknowledged.
Arc System Works used San Diego Comic-Con to reveal Phoenix Cyclops, drawing on the Avengers vs. X-Men Phoenix Five arc, as the first Year 1 DLC fighter for Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls. The base game launches August 6 on PS5 and PC, and an open beta is live right now through July 26.
Arc System Works revealed Robo-Ky's full trailer at EVO 2026. The Season 5 Pass fighter arrives July 2 alongside Blazing Pass Duel 2: Ennui Protocol, which adds a Queen Dizzy outfit, a Thunderseal weapon skin, Haunted colours and an in-game music playlist.
Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls is playable at EVO 2026, and the demo build includes newly revealed Knights of Doom villain Magneto. Arc System Works and PlayStation Studios' 4v4 tag fighter launches on PS5 and PC on August 6 with a 20-character roster, cross-play, and a motion-comic Episode Mode.
Arc System Works' roguelike spin-off launches June 4, 2026 on PS5, Switch and Steam for .99, casting Kunio as all four Journey to the West pilgrims with three fighting styles and 80 randomised Secret Skills.
