Springfield is coming for the board. Scopely has announced that MONOPOLY GO! kicks off a season-long crossover with The Simpsons on June 3, running all the way through July 29 — the biggest licensed takeover the chart-topping mobile game has attempted yet. The town’s most recognizable landmarks, from the Nuclear Power Plant to Krustyland, are being rebuilt in MONOPOLY GO!’s art style, and the railroads themselves are handing operations over to Springfield’s gloriously unreliable monorail.
Will Ferrell vs. Harry Shearer
The collaboration opens with an original animated short, Mr. Burns and Mr. Monopoly’s Excellent Rivalry, in which Will Ferrell voices Mr. Monopoly opposite Harry Shearer, reprising his decades-long role as Springfield’s resident billionaire. That rivalry spills into the game itself via Billionaire Beef: Mr. M vs. Mr. Burns, a community-wide competitive event.
Wiggum bribes and couch gags
The season is stuffed with show-specific events. The Simpsons Run drops an obstacle-style minigame onto the Free Parking tile, complete with Springfield residents, hazards and rewards. Land in Jail and you can flat-out bribe Chief Wiggum for extra rolls. Run to Your Couch riffs on the show’s iconic couch gag as a social event, while monorail shutdowns and heists keep the new rail tiles appropriately chaotic.
15,000 rolls for completionists
Collectors get more than 50 Simpsons-themed Chance Cards — five of them chosen by a community vote on Discord — plus Episode Sticker Sets that refresh every two weeks, along with themed tokens, shields, dice and emojis. Completing the full album pays out 15,000 rolls and an exclusive Homer Simpson token. The crossover goes live in MONOPOLY GO! on iOS and Android on June 3.
