PUBG Mobile's 4.6 Update Lets You Come Back as a Vampire After You Die

PUBG Mobile's 4.6 update brings the Midnight Hunters themed mode to Erangel: Bloodline Awakening revives defeated players as vampires, three new magical items change traversal and squad recovery, and classic mode adds a backpack-carried Inflatable Boat. Live now on iOS and Android.

PUBG Mobile's 4.6 Update Lets You Come Back as a Vampire After You Die

PUBG Mobile’s 4.6 update is live, and its Midnight Hunters mode does something the battle royale formula normally refuses to do: it gives you something to do after you lose a fight.

Die in Midnight Hunters and Bloodline Awakening can turn you into a vampire instead of sending you to the lobby. You come back with different abilities, a different objective, and a grudge against the people who killed you. In a genre where death means watching a teammate’s feed for eight minutes, that is a genuinely meaningful change to the shape of a match.

Erangel, but the towns have turned

Midnight Hunters reskins and restructures familiar Erangel geography rather than shipping a new map. Urban areas have fallen under vampire control, and the split runs along locations regular players already know by heart:

Alongside the usual last-squad-standing pressure there are objectives to chase. Bloodrose Hunt tasks you with clearing out mutated vampires; Seal the Vampire Leader sends you to activate sealing devices at the Vampire Chapel. Both are the kind of PvE anchor that pulls squads into predictable places, which is exactly the point - themed modes live or die on whether they manufacture fights.

The three items that actually change how you play

The themed loot pool is where 4.6 gets interesting, because two of the items are movement tools rather than weapons.

Silvermoon Chain is a climbing tool that doubles as cover - it blocks bullets while you are using it, and it kills low-level vampires outright. A traversal item that also stops incoming fire is a strange thing to hand battle royale players, and it should make vertical approaches on buildings far more viable than the usual suicide run up a staircase.

Twilight Bat Wings turn you into a bat, with a blink dash for repositioning and a Sonic Wave ability that detects nearby enemies. Detection plus mobility in one item is a strong combination, and it is the closest thing 4.6 has to a scanning tool.

Blood Pact sacrifices your own health to recall a teammate within a 50-metre radius. The squad-revive mechanic has quietly become a fixture in PUBG Mobile’s themed modes, but tying it to your own HP rather than a timer or a pickup makes it a real decision rather than a free button.

Rounding out the set: Blood Crystal Barrier, Hunter Bandage and Rose Elixir.

Classic mode gets a boat you carry in your backpack

Not everything in 4.6 is themed. Classic mode picks up an Inflatable Boat - low durability, but it fits in your backpack, which means water crossings no longer depend on finding a spawn point you can defend. Anyone who has been shot off a bridge on Erangel understands immediately why this matters.

Channel Buoys also arrive: water-based platforms with protective metal covers, giving open water something it has never really had in this game, which is cover.

Krafton has also cited better firearm handling and an improved supply shop, though without the kind of specifics that let you judge them before you play.

Season 32 and the Lincoln collaboration

4.6 does not arrive alone. A new Royale Pass season - Season 32 - has just been detailed on PUBG Mobile’s official channel, and a Lincoln vehicle collaboration went live alongside the update, adding the automaker’s cars to the in-game roster. That is the third major automotive tie-in PUBG Mobile has run in the last two years, and it fits the pattern: themed mode for engagement, branded vehicles for monetisation, Royale Pass to tie the two together.

How to get it

The 4.6 update is rolling out now on the App Store and Google Play - the iOS build went live on September 9, 2026. As always, you will want to update over Wi-Fi and leave headroom for the resource download; PUBG Mobile’s themed seasons ship a lot of new assets, and the vampire content in particular includes new models, effects and audio.

Midnight Hunters is a limited-time mode, so if the vampire loop appeals, it is worth playing sooner rather than at the end of the season.
