Valor Mortis got a release-date trailer during the Xbox Games Showcase 2026, and it is closer than you might think. The first-person soulslike from One More Level — the team behind the lightning-fast Ghostrunner — and publisher Lyrical Games is launching in Fall 2026.
Set in an alternate 19th-century Eastern Europe where Napoleon’s endless war has unleashed a supernatural plague, the game casts you as William, a British soldier in the Grande Armée resurrected to fight his way through former comrades twisted into undead horrors. Expect parkour-laced movement and precise rapier combat — a distinctly first-person spin on the soulslike formula.
Valor Mortis is coming to PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC, and it will be available day one on Game Pass, with a demo available now.
