Xbox Owners Get Free PC Copies of 13 Ubisoft Games as Console-to-PC Program Expands

Xbox and Ubisoft have expanded their Console to PC program: owners of 13 Ubisoft titles on Xbox - including Assassin's Creed Valhalla, Far Cry 6, and Rainbow Six Siege - now get the PC version at no extra cost. New purchases get both instantly; existing owners roll out through August 4.

Xbox Owners Get Free PC Copies of 13 Ubisoft Games as Console-to-PC Program Expands

Xbox is giving its Ubisoft library a serious cross-platform upgrade. As of July 27, 2026, 13 Ubisoft games have joined Xbox's Console to PC program, meaning anyone who owns an eligible title digitally on Xbox now gets the PC version included at no extra cost.

How the Rollout Actually Works

Anyone who buys one of these games digitally from July 27 onward gets instant access to both the Xbox console and PC versions in the same purchase. Players who already own an eligible title on Xbox will receive their PC copy through a progressive rollout that Xbox says will be complete for everyone by August 4, 2026.

There are a couple of important caveats worth knowing before you go checking your library. The offer only runs one direction - Xbox to PC - so players who already own the PC version won't get a free Xbox console copy in return. On the content side, game editions, Season Passes, and DLC will transfer to the PC version for most supported titles, but consumables don't - any in-game currency or one-time-use items you've already bought on Xbox stay locked to that platform and won't carry over.

Why It Matters

Xbox has been steadily blurring the line between console and PC ownership all year - from Xbox Play Anywhere to bringing original Xbox classics to Windows - and folding a major third-party publisher's catalog into that same philosophy is a meaningful escalation. For players who own an Xbox but occasionally prefer their PC rig, this quietly turns a chunk of already-purchased Ubisoft games into a two-platform library overnight, at zero additional cost.
