Telltale's fairy-tale detective story returns on 29 October 2026 across PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2, Xbox One, Switch and PC. The headline addition is Noir Mode, which renders all five episodes in black and white, alongside over an hour of bonus material and confirmation that The Wolf Among Us 2 is still in development.
Series producer Motoi Okamoto told press at Gamescom 2026 that Konami's aim is "an annual release of new games" for Silent Hill, and that "many projects" remain unannounced. The recent record backs him up: the Silent Hill 2 remake in 2024, Silent Hill f in September 2025, and Townfall on 24 September 2026, each from a different external studio.

HoYoverse used Gamescom Opening Night Live to world-premiere Nodusfall, a dark-fantasy co-op action RPG built in Unreal Engine 5 with none of the studio's usual anime styling. Players are Weavers hunting corrupted mythic beasts, climbing on them and roping them down in squad fights that look closer to Monster Hunter and Elden Ring: Nightreign than to Genshin Impact. No date, no platforms, and reportedly free-to-play without a character gacha.
Grinding Gear Games used Gamescom Opening Night Live to date Path of Exile 2's 1.0 Full Release for December 11, 2026 on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. It brings the final two campaign Acts to complete the six-act story, the sword-wielding Duelist class with a set of new sword skills, and a new endgame built around 100 maps - and the game drops its paid Early Access gate to go fully free-to-play.
ATLUS released the official story trailer for Persona 4 Revival during the Xbox @ Gamescom broadcast. The P-Studio remake adds full voice acting to every event including Social Links, brings back Baton Pass, and introduces Send Flying, Prime Time and the cinematic Series Finale. Ryota Kozuka has rearranged Shoji Meguro's score. It launches February 18, 2027 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
Xbox announced a disc-to-digital programme at Gamescom 2026. Inserting a supported Xbox One or Xbox Series X disc and launching the game attaches a digital entitlement to your Microsoft account, unlocking Play Anywhere and Cloud Gaming where applicable - and the disc keeps working. Thousands of titles are supported at launch; original Xbox and Xbox 360 discs are not. Xbox Insiders start testing August 31, 2026.
Playground Games released an 18-minute narrated walkthrough of a full Fable quest at Gamescom 2026. The Mud and Death mission sends the Hero into a haunted mine with Heroes' Guild leader Humphry and demonstrates all three combat pillars - the two-handed Bower Hammer, seven spells including the chicken-transforming Befowl, and a bow-and-crossbow ranged layer with weak-point targeting. Fable still launches February 23, 2027 on Xbox Series X|S and PC.
CD Projekt Red announced The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Remastered at Gamescom Opening Night Live for September 29, 2026 on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S and Switch 2, co-developed with Hungarian studio Yigsoft. Existing owners upgrade free and get Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine at no cost. The Songs of the Past expansion follows in 2027 with a new region, Letten, and a chain weapon for Geralt.
Capcom expanded the free Onimusha: Way of the Sword demo at Gamescom, adding the Oni Refuge area and a boss fight against Daidara, plus a Switch 2 version. Saving demo progress unlocks the Kubi Akari Charm and stat boosts in the full game, which launches September 4 after Capcom moved the date up three weeks in July.
Capcom gave the twelfth mainline classic Mega Man its first gameplay trailer at Gamescom Opening Night Live. Proto Man joins as a playable companion, Custom Chips and a limited-time Override system take over from the Double Gear, and the game is still dated 2027 across Switch 2, Switch, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC.
D3 Publisher announced Earth Defense Force 6.2: Invaders from Another World for PS5 in 2027 - an enhanced Earth Defense Force 6 with roughly twice the on-screen enemies, a new giant-mushroom species, DLC-tier tough enemies moved into the main story, more than half the missions restructured, and the series' first weapon customisation system. Playable at Tokyo Game Show 2026.
