HoYoverse is closing out the summer in style. Genshin Impact Version 6.7, Luna VIII — subtitled Sunny Summer Fontinalia — launches July 1, 2026, and it delivers one of the most requested arrivals in the game’s history: Sandrone, the Seventh of the Fatui Harbingers, finally joins the playable roster.
Sandrone, the Marionette
Codenamed Marionette, Sandrone debuts as a 5-star Cryo Claymore Main DPS who fights alongside her autonomous mechanical companion, Fagio. Her playstyle centres on managing Fagio’s Decoding Power across two distinct modes, letting her pivot between sustained Cryo pressure and bursts of heavier damage. After her apparent sacrifice during the events at Nod-Krai, her return is as much a story beat as it is a combat one.
A brand-new reaction: Stellar-Conduct
Sandrone also introduces a fresh elemental wrinkle. With her on the team, the familiar Cryo-plus-Electro Superconduct transforms into Stellar-Conduct — a beefed-up version boasting stronger damage scaling, a larger area of effect, and, unusually, the ability to land critical hits. It is the kind of mechanic that can shake up long-settled team comps overnight.
Banners and reruns
Phase 1 runs from July 1 to July 21 and pairs Sandrone’s debut banner with a rerun for Citlali. Phase 2, from July 21 through August 11, brings back two heavyweights with simultaneous Columbina and Raiden Shogun rerun banners — a generous spread for anyone who has been hoarding Primogems.
Explore the Frost Moon and the Fontinalia Film Festival
Beyond the roster, Luna VIII opens a brand-new explorable area on Teyvat’s Frost Moon, reached via spacecraft, alongside the summer-themed Fontinalia Film Festival event that hands out a free Charlotte to participants. HoYoverse also slipped in a Snezhnaya Ecology Teaser, an early look at the long-rumoured Snezhnaya region expansion targeting an August 12 launch.
Version 6.7 Luna VIII goes live July 1, 2026 across PC, PlayStation 5, iOS and Android. The free pull rewards are characteristically generous this patch, so it is worth logging in early to claim everything before the banners begin.
